Although not as extreme as what this guy did, this reminds me a bit of the story from yesterday, about the father of the 3 gymnasts--when he tried to tackle the offender in court. Completely understand his actions. I saw on the news today that he apologized to the court, etc., and the judge did not charge him, due to the emotional circumstances. (Thank goodness . . .)

Yea, I would have put off my reaction to that sicko just like the guy in the video. He didn't kidnap that boy to charge the family for a ransom, he wanted to molest him. My skin crawls. That was justice on top of justice with extra justice sauce.
Only semi-sad part is that POS didn't spend his last years in prison getting his cheese kicked in every single day of his sick sad existence...
What a pile of shut...!!!!!!!

What she said. I assume the orangey bird is a raptor of some sort. What is the blue?
The bird of prey is a young Harris Eagle that is used to hunt for invasive species(or species that have no natural predators after moving in) that invade the mangrove reserve I visited. Also to curb the overpopulation and prevent the destruction.

The next one is a yellow crowned night Heron if I remember correctly.

Also I'm happy to mention that the streak backed Oriole birds are back near my home. These noisy guys are beautiful to see.
They usually come in january but its been unusually cold and constantly cloudy.

Was waiting for a bus, so I transferred the photos to my phone from my camera from today. My camera is AWESOME. Now I'll post some while on the bus.

We were at AK today. I got the baby hippo!

Loving that baby hippo!

What camera you have?
I do not remember if you had told us the brand and lens.

What camera are you using?
Canon EOS Rebel T6. The ones of the animals are with a 75-300 mm lens. It's a really nice camera. Easy to use for beginners like me, but it grows with you.

They also last. My mom has a previous generation model from 2010, and it still works very well. Mine has a few features hers lacks, but they're otherwise the same camera.

@StarWarsGirl nice pictures of Animal Kingdom today. Although I think there was one with a bat...I had to scroll quickly past that one when I realized what it might be. I could use a spoiler for those scary types of pictures.;):) Hope you are having a great time!
Bats are cool. They've got those awesome wiings but those cute little heads. Iin the summer, I see them flying around the backyard at night. Eating mosquitos. Which they are more than welcome to do.
