Envious. We had 55 yesterday. It was beyond windy and rainy all day. Happy to go outside without my face freezing but was not the 55 I expectd to appreciate at all. Today well nasty. We had ice overnight. 4 for 4 doors were frozen shut. Something I've never experienced with this truck.
Sympathy like. I'm right there with you 5 degrees, a glazing of ice and 2 or so inches of snow over that. :grumpy::cold::coldfeet:

Pediatric ERs were always great with asthma. Adult ERs are a different story.

I actually preferb if I have to ggoto the ER for an emergency, to see a PA as opposed to a doctor, because the PAs usually don't have a god complex and will call my doctor and work with him.

Do what you feel is best. But also, I just want to mention that working in a hospital, I know of some very down-to-earth physicians (no god complex), while acknowledging some not-so-great ones. And some are better at treating specific illnesses, than others. Guess all I'll I'm trying to share here, is for patients to try and not get too focused on the MD title alone. Individuals are in every profession.

I look at FoPassage now, almost impossible day of where in yesteryear ya had a opportunity.

My point precisely--it was a level playing field back then. To me, it was worth it, criss-crossing parks for Legacy Fastpasses. The newer system really benefits the "planners" who know what they're going 6 months out. I'll never be one of them, so I lose out. Spontaneity is dead at WDW. RIP.

And I'd also like to add here, that if they didn't offer the "single rider lines" at a number of the more popular attractions, I'd probably just stop going to WDW completely.

Sympathy like. That's one of the things we liked about UNI minimal planning. The only things we did was look up menus and reviews and book 3 must dos. Even then only one really needed to be booked.

YEA!!!! I finally got to watch Cars 3 and I have to say it was the best in the series:joyfull: Cars 1 was good and came out at a time when the boys were at an age to really enjoy it, Cars 2 was just ok as far as a Pixar film goes and 3had a nice fluid story line and felt like it had some more emotion than the other 2

I haven't seen any of those movies yet. (I'm slightly behind the curve here . . . ;) )

I don't recall what year it was, but I remember the first time I saw a scene in Spaceship Earth, where 2 families were talking to each other from different locations--and they could each see the other on a TV screen. That was the most exciting thing for the future, I thought. :geek:

Now, we've reached that level with Skype, etc. But, you wanna know what? It was actually more exciting for me to "dream it" years ago, than the present reality fulfilled. ;)
I remember that! I don't remember the year either. For a while I thought it was another ride since I just couldn't place it anymore. I just remember the family talking to each other. So now I know it was Spaceship Earth. Their version worked better than Skype though.;)

In case anyone is looking for sales this holiday weekend, L L Bean (on their web site--maybe in their stores, too, but not sure) has a 25% off.

I just ordered rain pants (a nice tech, waterproof material), that also double as pants you can put over jeans, etc., in winter, when there's a big storm. You'll stay dry in these. And because I bought a bunch of presents for people back at Christmas, I also earned some promotional $10 free cards. In addition, I had a gift card my brother gave me.

In the end, I got them for FREE, and I still have money left on my gift card!! Happy Dance!!! :joyfull:
I love when that happens.:inlove::inlove::inlove::happy::happy::happy:

Yeah, it was not my concern but this couple that bought the house was scraping every corner to close even with the FHA inspector clearing the house beyond one electrical outlet in a bathroom and a light bulb. Yes a light bulb that blew mid inspection. Every dollar they had went to the 2% downpayment. Tried so many ways to squeeze the negotiations which I would not give on. I put 20% down on the house, their gamble with 2%. Still if they were my kids to advise I would have said wait, save, have reserves, have more to put down. I saw what their monthly payments FHA would be, their income. Honestly I didn't know how they'd do it. Still not my concern, they bought it, they bought it further AS IS as the home is well maintained but over 60 years old both a big pro and con. That said I've never been a gambler.
After our divorce, we sold our house to a really nice Bosnian couple. They had fled Bosnia either during or just before the war there. I don't remember. There was a "special" mortgage handler that dealt primarily with those relocated Bosnian's. I didn't know if they paid anything down or not as it was not my business to find out, however, when we got down to the nitty-gritty during the closure. Their broker had not mentioned the charge for what heating oil was in the tank. Measurement showed over $300.00 dollars worth remaining. They didn't have enough money left to pay that, so they asked if I would consider "loaning" them that amount that they would pay back over time.

I honestly do not know how they were able to even pay for their regular mortgage payments, taxes, etc. much less the money they owed me. I wasn't going to lose the sale over $300.00 but I was hurting for money back then as well, so I agreed. They where wonderful people. She was so happy to have a house with her own land. He was a painter (of houses) and she worked as a maid at Quality Inn.

I don't think it had a happy ending. I heard that he was killed in a car accident about four years later. They bought it 17 years ago. As far as I can tell the place hasn't been occupied for at least the last 10 years. I make it a habit to just drive by and check the place out when I am visiting Vermont. The grounds are kept up (mowed and trimmed), there is no sign saying it's for sale, but, no one is living there. I have no idea what has happened or why. BTW, they paid me for the fuel within 4 months. That place has a lot of memories for me, especially watching my children grow up there, but, it had it's share of sadness as well. Still sad to drive by and remember the amount of life that was lived there at one point. The house was built in 1976 so it's not really that old either.

Sorry, for the swerve into nostalgia... What were we taking about again???
