Wow, our escape room was $102, so much more expensive. Worth it as a special treat but not something I would do on a regular basis.
The 13 year old has actually been very good most of the trip, he has a sense of humor and will go along with a joke or being teased a bit. Yesterday at bowling was the first time when I saw him sulking etc. I thought it was kinda funny because the same thing happened last time we took him bowling when he was 5.:joyfull:

$102 per person? That is more than Disney. Crazy.:eek::jawdrop::jawdrop::facepalm:

The technician claims its very normal to people who never ***** glases before.. and even more accentuated because of my deafness (My eyesight sensitivity is way more pronounced, I see things people usually miss in their peripheral view. As most glasses focus the fix in the center of the glass. And that is what is making me dizzy)..Thats what she says, going to see my doctor in a week or so.
Wow just Wow! I do want to hear what that outcome is. With my hearing issues and my visual problems since birth also that is an interesting combo that I have never heard before. My visuals were not sorted until I was well into college though I saw well thought of specialists since I was 6 months old. Always interesting to hear what more research and Doctors that continue to keep up have to offer.

Us too.

I love how the county can't make up its mind. I saw an email at 4 something saying it was delayed, then at 6 something saying they were closed. Make up your mind...

It is frustrating. Over the last decade our Elementary Districts have come to follow what the co-op high school district decides. It works out better. The county on a whole is always all over the map on who is closed and who is open.

Ok, I'm a tech squib...I am terrible with all things tech. So please bear with me...what the heck is a furesticknany??? Is it like an e-reader? Or is it a service like Netflix?

I don't have a firestix but I have a RoKu pretty much the same. It is the size of a memory stick with a remote control for the TV. We take it with us on all hotel vacations. You stick it in the tv and it hooks up to the internet in the hotel/resort. You can then access your own subscriptions like Netflix, Hulu etc. When I bought it the cost was like $40 but gives us access to movies or TV shows we like to watch while drifting off to sleep. So many hotels have very limited stations offered especially Disney where you'll never find competing stations to the Disney Family ownerships like Nick at Nite or anything that competes with ABC Channels. I can also steam in my ATT Uverse if I want which is awesome. So worth the $40. We are a family that has always slept with noise. My kids grew up with TVs in their rooms and always fell asleep with TVs on as they were never kids that fell asleep easily and neither was I. Today we all still fall asleep with the background noise of a TV. If netflix goes to pause in a hotel room or at home we are the type that wake up and turns clicks yes still watching and then drifts back off to sleep. Silence is not golden within my family dynamic. So for those who do not enjoy total quiet while sleeping Firestix or Roku's are awesome while traveling.

Yes. It is on YouTube. We have a smart tv so I watch on it. Maybe get a Roku?

They have a practice tomorrow that ends at 6:30. So hopefully the roads will not be too terrible. At least I won’t have to worry about rushing down Saturday morning. Are you getting a lot of snow down there? Just very windy here.

At least your vehicle handles well in the snow. Blessed are those who have 4x4 in this crud.

Snow is predicted to be done around 5pm today. It's really windy. I hope that school is canceled for tomorrow as well. If my school district has a "delayed opening" for Friday, my teenager has to be at school by 9am instead of her usual 7am. If school is not canceled for Friday.... either I clear the snow as the sunset turns into darkness tonight....or start clearing snow at 7AM or probably earlier tomorrow.
Ugh!
I'm not thrilled by either option :(

And if it is really nasty just call him in sick. Yep, I've been there done that.

I empathize with you. My dh doesn't get paid if he has to close either since he owns his own business. He will always try his hardest to get to work no matter what, but if people don't show up then he has a day where costs are not covered.:(

Get that. If I don't work I never got paid. The Joys and Pains of owning your own business. The timing too of vacations. Ying Yang

Connect the dots for me...how is The Lands 'Circle of Life' connected to a New Brazil Pavilion? And is Circle of Life destined to close because...

Scratches head. Land once a large pavilion with so much to do. Now it is as much food as it is Land. Down to 2 attractions with both on lower level. Reminding me of the Imagination Pavilion.

It is suppose to be the New Epcot. But why close an attraction yet again for what is currently being held off stage, rehearsal trailers? Why do rehearsals warrant taking over space in a guest pavilion? It isn't like the Odyssey or WoL are not available? I am confused.

Haven't time here this morning to catch up with whatever is going on in The Land, but none of this sounds good at all. I'll catch up tomorrow--gotta go out now and shovel out car. Good thing this morning is that work managers know everyone will be late this morning, due to post-storm issues. (Leisurely plans on grabbing a donut on way to work today . . . :p )
