We have a very sunny morning today! However, when I let Kapono out it was -15 with a real feel (with windchill) of -35. Now it is -11 but feels like -32. I do not plan to go outside at all today.

Woof! Another belated sympathy like.
We had 25 last night down here and it only got up to 54 today. Thankfully, only 40 overnight tonight.

Our stay in the Efteling was great. The house had 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms so plenty of space for all. Our house was the left half of this building.

One of the reasons I like to cruise is all the delicious desserts you can try. I am greedy and usually first have the cheese plate and than a sweet dessert.

But, yes, awesome service, and a crazy-good amount of food...!!!

In some of ours' defense, we did do a lot of walking on this trip, both on the ship and otherwise...!!!

We LOVE escape rooms. But is that price for the room or per person? Ours are MUCH more expensive, but if you have more people, it's cheaper. I think the cheapest one we've done was still 80 euros for the room.

Scratches head. Land once a large pavilion with so much to do. Now it is as much food as it is Land. Down to 2 attractions with both on lower level. Reminding me of the Imagination Pavilion.

Speaking of the storm, I'm leaving home after 5 AM and getting to work very early. Putting in about 1/2 a day and leaving. My boss loves me--praises me for my dedication. (Doesn't realize that I'm enjoying this . .. )

(My only concern for anyone in the path of this could be possible power outages.)

Just hope you guys don't get the wind ontop of the snow.

Also I remember you changing departments. Glad that all worked out. We all want to be appreciated.

Technically Al Gore is right.
Global Warmings is melting a lot of stuff, changing the patterns of the weather severely.
Places that were usually cold, will get unusually warm, causing havoc. In the same ways middle areas will get extra cold, and hot areas will either get horrible hurricanes or insane fires.

This year remember the entire west coast was on fire, the east under water, and now under snow.


Also global temps are definitively rising.

And not unusual. Florida was hurricane Central in the 90's and early '00 then almost a decade off. The world easily forgets the devastation Hurricanes like Hugo and Charlie caused like this is a new thing with Irma and Maria. I was on property for Charlie and Irma and (I say this couched cause it was awful in so many places off property,) Charlie was beyond nasty on property.

I grew up in a tornado path that has shifted somewhat due south of us over the last decade but this summer showed us it could return at anytime and did. We had beyond ugly life ending blizzards in 67, 79 and 11 The most fridged of weather -30 in 1983 & 84 back to back. It is nasty cold now but still worse then. Yet in 1995 we had a 5 day heat wave of 106 that killed 739 people.

Me I am of the belief it is weather and weather patterns that are far from any pattern from Florida to IL. They each go through changes annually and by decades. Now we have drama in Weather. We hear fear in forecasts on the news introducing terms like bomb cyclone and bombgensis. Media delivers what creates ratings. Last year we had snow in December and a mild winter after that. Both February and March cold months for us were Spring-ish. Yet since Christmas it is a bitter cold that isn't breaking. It isn't new, in 1982 I went to Mass on Christmas day in a windbreaker. The next year it was -30.

Statistics are funny numbers and calibrated to the outcome often that one wants to project. We even see that with Disney when they state surveys say this is what our guests want....yet none of us recall those surveys.
Funny numbers and I don't take a lot of stock in numbers that can easily be manipulated.

It is suppose to be the New Epcot. But why close an attraction yet again for what is currently being held off stage, rehearsal trailers? Why do rehearsals warrant taking over space in a guest pavilion? It isn't like the Odyssey or WoL are not available? I am confused.
