Today I finally had my long awaited appointment with the cardiologist. For those who might not remember past circumstances, I was recommended to a cardiologist back in October after I underwent cataract surgery on my right eye. During the procedure my heart recorded an irregular beat. Possible AFIB was the question. My 2nd cataract surgery was then postponed.

The cardiologist visit today was very thorough. However, I have not been officially diagnosed as having AFIB. I still need a few more tests. A stress test, and a 48 hour Holter monitor. My recent electrocardiogram, and echocardiogram, have all been normal.

I officially put off my cataract surgery until sometime in the Spring. The Cardiologist was more than willing to give me clearance, but why the rush? Chicago weather is brutal, and I'd be the unlucky one to wake up surgery morning to a foot of snow on the ground, or below zero temps, and a blizzard. So I'm waiting.

I really liked the cardiologist. We touched on all angles of this entire scenario, and we may end up discovering this has all just been one huge mistake. However, I'll sleep better at night knowing what I don't have. So keep your fingers crossed for some more good test results.

Sounds like good news. Probably a smart idea to put off the surgery for a bit too. Hope all the tests do come back good for you.

So Jasmine was asleep on the ottoman closest to me (which we have dubbed the Throne because the cats love it). Belle decided she wanted it, so she jumped up, stood over top of Jasmine, bit Jasmine, knocked Jasmine off, and then laid down herself. I kind of felt bad for poor Jasmine, but that was hysterical.

Now they are both comfy...

The older ones are carp, and boy, I had the same thought as you when the Enterprise agent said "I'm upgrading you to a Toyota", but this new 2018 Camry...my oh my. :inlove:

My dad wants me to get a Buick Encore. To which I say...nope, nope. Nopedy nope.

Nothing against Buicks they are fine cars....I hear BUICK and I immediately go to Grandpa's of my era.

Both of my parents' cars are Buicks. The only two within my price range are the Encore and the Regal. I do not want another SUV. I have had an SUV for 3 years now and have loathed most of it. SUVs are just not enjoyable to drive. I know my dad wants me to get one because they are big and safe, but I hate driving them and they are gas guzzlers. The other is the Regal, which is a sedan. My concern there is that it tends to drop in price very quickly after you've owned them, and my thought is, er, why? Even my dad is in agreement with me on that one. That, and they just seem WAY overpriced to me. It seems like these other cars give you more bang for your buck

Did you figure out a way to stay inside?

No, I needed real food. :arghh: I cooked large batches of food twice since Dec 23. It was nice having a bit of break from all that.

Todays outing well It became Goulash. And very tasty. At least it was worth it. :hungry: Takes a few hours. DD and I wondered if it will be close to the same in an Instant Pot...whenever they come back into stock again.

Saw on the Weather Channel that we may have potentially 2 weeks straight with temps below freezing.:coldfeet::coldfeet: Can someone say mini ice age? Not happy. I know I won't be happy when I see my electric bill.:(

Sympathy like.
It's supposed to be in the high teens-low twenties here tonight. Never got above freezing in our part of town all day today. Not unprecedented in the 41+ years we've been back in Central Texas, but, more rare than not.
I'm tryin' to remember if it even got below freezing here for more than a few hours at a time all last winter... :cyclops:

I remember hearing stories of flurries in Orlando. cold flurry and pool weather within the week. Works for me. It's been bad long enough even my dh wants to run away:eek: Usually it's almost March before he pulls out his retirement countdown calendar

I can remember ice storms in Florida and the orange groves with all the oranges encased in ice.
