@donaldtoo , my favorite picture was the one of the Lido deck with those gorgeous huge windows, and the bright yellow chairs on the deck--really nice place to chill and watch the ocean and sky . . .

Thanks, Minnie! :)
Yep, one of my favorite spots on the ship, too, and sooooo beautiful...!!!
And, it was directly above our deck 6 cabin on deck 9...if you got close enough to the angled windows you could see our veranda below...!!! :)

Hi everyone,

I hope everyone's Christmas has been as wonderful as mine.
It is still very busy with my niece and nephews visiting but a lot of fun. I haven't had time to read how everyone else's Christmas has been but I will try to catch up once my brother and his family leave.
Since we have kids staying there is no sleeping in so I got this picture of the sunrise in Breda yesterday.View attachment 253069

Beautiful!!!
Glad y'all all had a wonderful Christmas, and, thank you, we did as well...!!!!! :)

Our stay in the Efteling was great. The house had 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms so plenty of space for all. Our house was the left half of this building.

A bench near our house, it says The Big Bad Wolf was here.

Some of the other houses you can rent at Bosrijk.

When I checked the weather this morning, it said snow will stop in 29 minutes. I have been up for close to 2 hours now. It is still snowing, so I checked the infallible weather website again and now it says, snow will continue for 120 minutes. What the heck??? We will end up with 3 inches out of this. It was supposed to be a dusting. Well that is why those forecasters get paid the big bucks, huh!:banghead::banghead:

Sympathy like.
Our record high for this date was 83 back in 1951, and our record low was 16 back in 1983.
54 and sunny here right now... ;)

Thanks about the cake, MOXO! :)
The cheese plate became a kind of running joke with us...I would have gotten it every night, but, I wanted to try some other stuff too...so I only had it 4 nights for dessert...!!!!! :hilarious:
But, I may have also had more than one dessert a few times, too... :cautious:  :D ;) :hungry: :)
One of the reasons I like to cruise is all the delicious desserts you can try. I am greedy and usually first have the cheese plate and than a sweet dessert.:hungry:

There are also interactive trash cans. They say Give me Paper and Thank you when you feed them. My 5 year old nephew thought they were amazing. Here he is putting something in the mouth of one.

This one makes the sound of a cannon ball being fired when you put paper in it.

Regular paper one that says Thank you .

I thought the sun was yellow
Funfact about the sun.. the Sun is very rare. Of all the stars detected. the Sun is an almost perfect white cadence (center temp) star.
Most stars either lean to blue (very hot) or red (not so hot and dim). The sun is right in the middle.

If I remember correctly..It looks yellow to us because the entire atmosphere reflects the blue light (oxygen) and thus makes it look blueish. If we had no atmosphere it would look pitch dark and the sun completely white.
