Clean an oven? In my adult life I've never cleaned an oven. Ya push a button and they clean themselves.
Clean an oven... not likely for me. I have lived here in this apartment for 7 years and if I have used the oven three times a year it was a miracle and that was just to bake some Haddock fillets, cook my homemade meatballs that I freeze for later, or an occasional "Shake & Bake. I have a George Foreman that I use to grill almost all the meat I eat. Even when I use the oven it is for stuff that doesn't splatter or run over and the vessels I use are always lined with Aluminum Foil. What is unfryable or unboilable is usually heading for the microwave. Don't want to do anymore cleanup then is necessary. Aluminum Foil saves a lot of cleaning possibilities. You might have noticed that I hate cleaning things.

2017 can't end soon enough!
If I remember correctly those were the same words used at the end of 2016 as well as the delayed spring of 2017 and that last one was some sort of psychotic rantage about Ground Hogs or something. Why do you hate your life so much. Could it be because you get up to early? Or not enough protein? Or you live to far to the north? :cold:
All of those can easily be fixed. Don't get up early! Have a cheeseburger! Move south!;)

I love early, are you trying to send me to the hospital and Florida would work if not for my dh's job and the boys schooling. It's the north thing!

We're going to have a nice quiet NYE with just us and James' bff. So far on the menu stuffed mushrooms, mango chutney, hummus, naan, tomato, cucumber and onion salad, spicy eggplant, chips both potato and corn, onion dip and salsa. I think that should be enough. Why do I feel like I'm missing something? I have bubbly for the kiddos and a separate bottle of wine(mine, mine, mine all mine) I put away a while ago.
You're missing a good 'ol steak!

Considering my dad won't do Europe or cruises...very doubtful. Plus, the rate for trading in DVC points for the cruises is high. I personally wouldn't mind doing a cruise one of these days, but I think I'd rather start out with a short one, considering how I reacted last time I was on my grandfather's boat. :depressed:
Hu, but cruises are huge, Just get a low center room and you will be fine.

We didnt feel anything in the OASIS.

I only felt sick the first day in the Wonder (back veranda) because the seas were kinda rough.

Hubs has did the Polar Plunge around here a couple years ago. Around here it is a fun raiser event for the Special Olympics. He was on a team with a church member who has a son with severe special needs. Their team raised about $3500 for the fund raiser. He couldn't be on the team last year because of his pneumonia and I won't let him this year because of his ankle (even though it should be well beyond healed). I just don't like the idea of him jumping into freezing water.

I think most of these plunges are for charity, from what I've read as well.

What I do worry about, however, are people with heart conditions that might "try": this . . . could be serious consequences.

Luckily I really don't mind shoveling. It is good exercise and as long as the snow isn't super wet it isn't too taxing. Our driveway is fairly short only has long as about 2 cars and a little wider than one car width. If he had broken his ankle in summer and I would have had to mow lawn I would not have been okay. I don't like mowing lawn.

I really like shoveling snow. It is a great cardio workout and you use a bunch of muscles. And it's free--no gym membership fees! :joyfull:

This is so funny--you have a lot in common with my brother. He never uses his oven, and nukes a lot of what he eats. He does have one pan for the range top, however, and he said that if a meal can't be cooked in one pan, it's not worth it! :D
