At least she could have removed the price tag. No effort period.
It's almost a dare, you know? Like "Go ahead...make a big deal out of how you didn't get what everyone else did." Because everyone knows of course it's the thought that's supposed to count, so you aren't supposed let on that you aren't happy with a gift, so you can't really say anything without looking ungrateful in front of the whole family...meanwhile everyone can see that it wasn't nearly as nice as what everyone else got. And what it says to the person who receives the gift is "I don't give a carp about you, but I am obligated to give you a gift or it would look really bad. But it will look equally bad if you call me out on it, so I don't have to bother with getting anything nice because you can't say anything about it anyway." It's really appalling. I would have been so hurt.

Fun morning here for the most part. Everybody got what they wanted and we were all fed before the power went out. @MinnieM123 just what is it you like about winter?:cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious: There's one heck of a storm outside, not a ton of snow but the wind:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: We're fine and I'm going to start cooking now while the lights are on. Don't worry we're fine:joyfull:

I am happy to report that my oldest son did make our Christmas Eve celebration last night. He went into work the other day and complained about being scheduled for Christmas Eve from 3 p.m. to midnight. The boss then rescheduled him for the morning shift, and he was at my house by 4 p.m. Plenty of time to eat Turkey dinner, and see every one of his family members. It was a wonderful party, and we got lots of great pics. One of our best nights ever.

That’s wonderful. So glad. :)Our local supermarket was closed by 6 pm Christmas Eve and is closed today.

Might as well just slap you in the face. So many other options....a gift card from the grocery store to help defray the cost of the dinner, or a gift card for Amazon to buy something you want, or from the Disney store, or a different restaurant, or a voucher for something fun like a local museum or a spa day...or a gift basket full of things she knows you like. It's just so inconsiderate. Did anyone else say anything on your behalf?
No one knew we were left out until the end of the evening and they didn't know what to say about it. I said plenty of F's and it wasn't family.

Agreed, considering that @MOXOMUMD was the hostess and worked so hard for everyone to have a delicious meal.
She could have gotten a Disney gift card.
I believe it was more rude to tell her (while not giving her a gift card) that she "didn't go there".
If she knew that, why you didn't buy from somewhere else like amazon? seems like more like a personal jab against @moxo
