(Oops, for some odd reason, I thought it was you.) Well, if you ever happen to catch the show on your PBS station, it's just a basic cooking show--NO drama. Great show overall, and the two chefs are very respectful and supportive toward each other. I don't watch those "competition" cooking shows--people are mean on those.
I like Test Kitchen and Lidia's Italy.

Tomorrow we will be about continuing new traditions repeating themselves. We are loving them and have spirit of new beginnings. Look forward to the day.

Absolutely! I recall years ago after my parents passed away, and then my brothers moved to different parts of the country, that it was just hubs, and my sister for holidays. At first, my sister and I tried to recreate the traditions of years ago (especially Thanksgiving with the big meal at home, etc.), but there was something missing. It was like we were trying to "force" the feelings.

Finally, I had "had it" and suggested we start NEW traditions--that's when we began going out to restaurants on Thanksgiving. We all liked it and it began a new tradition. For Christmas, we still celebrate at home because there's gifts, etc., but we keep the celebration low key and relaxed. :)

Tens of Thousand of dollars for one Man to take a $400 dollar dishwasher. Still water cut to the first floor and basement. Zero Laundry or emergency lights. Damage to ceilings and lighting. Circuits questionable even with updates to a Historical 120 year old building that was upgraded 25 years ago for its centennial. I understand the GRAB this company and employees are going through, almost all loosing their employment. The lack of respect for the balance of those remaining in the building and the owners property is not excusable.

First do no harm. My motto anyhow.

Shocking behavior from that former tenant. Wow.

P.S.: Your motto is the motto of medical people--see it referenced a lot at the hospital where I work. (Note: Not a part of the Hippocratic Oath, however.)

We changed plans last night. One last look at the weather warnings and we decided not to hit the road today. Snow here, ice along the way and high winds all day can make for a dangerous trip. Figgy family Christmas dinner roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole from scratch, broccoli with cheese sauce, a nice salad and a gazillion cookies. It will be nice and quiet and we'll all get to play with the pile Santa left under the tree:inlove:

Very happy you're staying home today. Best ALWAYS to be safe. I wish you and hubs and your boys a very Merry Christmas as home. Your dinner will be delish.

Have a great performance! Bet you will be awesome!:)

Beautiful! Have a great trip! Can't wait to hear(read) your impressions!:):)
Nah, we sucked pretty badly. Oh well...better luck next year. The altos missed their entrance, someone sang the wrong part of the one song and it threw everything off...we had no idea where we were and because the director was BEHIND us, directing the band, he couldn't give us any sort of help and we sang the chorus over and over and over for about 10 times. So it was verse one, half of verse 2, and then the chorus for the rest of the song. It was bad. Our main set was ok, though we couldn't hear ourselves in the monitors...they threw in the one song at the last minute, I spent the whole morning practicing to learn it and then got to the concert only to find out that they changed the arrangement, but not the practice MP3 or the sheet music, so what I studied and learned was completely wrong. Anyway, it's over.

@MOXOMUMD , Merry Christmas to you and your DD. Have a fun day today. :) :inlove:  :joyfull:

As for the soup bowl debacle, I hope you threw it out--better yet--flung it against a hard wall and let it break into little pieces.

Trying to curb what I really want to say here about those ignorant people (  ), but will temper my words due to the family forum here. But certainly, don't waste any tears over their behavior-they're not worth it.

Oh dear. That's unfortunate. I'm sure some of the concert still went well though.
