A bit of trivia--Carrie Fisher was signed on to play Rizzo in Grease but with her obligations with her role as Princess Leia and the success of Star Wars she had to decline the role and Stockard Channing was cast.

Wow she would have been good. Stockard Channing was also good.

Yea I haven't seen any of the movies that were nominated besides Birdman. I just love award shows because I like to see the whole ceremony of it all. I like the fashion but I also like the speeches because I like to see people passionate about what they do.

That's a very balanced, intelligent approach. I'm unbalanced, and get bored with the speeches, even though they put their heart and soul in them. Also, IMO, I think award shows, in general, are too long. Considering I have the attention span of a 5-year-old, I guess the award shows are just not for me!

I can eat any food any time of the day. I'm kinda looking forward to the 24 hour ice cream machine on our cruise.

When I die and go to heaven . . . o.k. let me rephrase that . . . When I die and hopefully don't go directly to hell, I'm hoping that I have access to an ice cream machine for eternity!!

Tonight for dinner, I'm eating a kind of granola (vanilla blueberry clusters with flax seeds) in vanilla soy milk. Yum city. I even added a sliced banana--that's a very gourmet touch, you know. Sometimes, i just impress the heck out of myself.

This picture is my favorite so far in the MOXOMUMD's St. Patrick's Day Premium Collection!! (I'm always drawn to the sweet, old-fashioned pictures.) I love the flower that's coming out of the top of Minnie's hat, too! That's very stylish.

The next door neighbours (to the east) just turned theirs off a couple of weeks ago, and Len across the road still has his on. My timer is set to run from dusk for 6 hours. Len's timer is dusk to dawn, so technically he's "that guy". No?

I posted the same pics on FB, but everybody who knows me IRL knows I'm a nut, so no worries.

Sound of Music is just too long for me but one of my all time favorite musical songs is Edelweiss. My DDs chorus sang Edelweiss in many competitions and they nailed it.

The dissecting thing...well it goes back to my post of how many teachers really enjoyed torturing students, that is how you get them to check out of learning.

I also love the song, Edelweiss. Christopher Plummer performed it so beautifully in the Sound of Music.

No, haven't seen it and didn't realize there was a new one. One of my favorite old shows was the original Odd Couple with Jack Lemmon and Jack Klugman. That show was hilarious.

The original TV show was actually Tony Randall and Jack Klugman.
The original movie was Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau.
