My grandson's mom has mailed all of her holiday presents/purchases to our house, and today she is coming over to wrap them. Not sure when she will arrive, but my husband should be back from the car dealer before she does. Cheyenne and I are going to the Mall, for some pre Christmas fun shopping, and browsing a little later this afternoon. We do most of our Christmas celebrating on Christmas Eve, and my side of the family party, was on the Sunday that recently passed. It turned out really nice. I had a good crowd. Family members showed up this year that I haven't seen in a while. Too bad we don't get together more often. I should start having another get together in the warmer months. I just need a name/theme/date for the event.

Well, getting up and going to work. We have a Thank you lunch off site for our team. After that, I'm coming home, working from home for the rest of the day, and then my grandma and I are heading to the airport around 4 pm today to fly south to Charleston. We'll get there, get the rental car, and drive to my aunt's house to stay overnight. Then, tomorrow, we'll drive down to Hilton Head. I'll probably fall into bed tomorrow night.
Have a great trip!!:)

Well, I guess that's the thing--maybe in certain places they use that term. In my supermarket, there's a guy behind the fish counter, but I always thought of him as "the guy behind the fish counter". (This must show my lack of proper upbringing . .. :hilarious: )
I've never seen a fish counter in a supermarket. We used to have a butcher in the supermarket, and he did fish as well, but he was a butcher. Then they remodeled and the supermarket changed to a different chain and the butcher went bye bye...they got rid of that and everything is pre-packaged. We do have a fish monger every Wednesday in the parking lot of the store...it's kind of a food truck idea. We order battered cod pieces every week for DS because that's one of his favorites and it's just routine. He gets really upset if he doesn't get his kibbeling. But in Wyoming, there was no such thing as fresh fish. So I didn't know there are actually grocery stores that HAVE fish counters....news to me!!

No :( They live in Texas. When I was in the Army we were both stationed at Ft Bragg for a few years though, which was lovely. His wife is one of my best friends and I often call her my sister and him my brother in law on accident :hilarious::hilarious:

The worst is when he comes up with a plan in a passing conversation, so you make an actual plan around it, and then you tell him the plan and he's like "Wait, why are we doing this, again??" :banghead::banghead::banghead: because this was YOUR idea!!!
Yep...my husband even manages to miss it in texts!! Tonight was DD's school Christmas dinner. It's basically a pot luck. You drop them off at 5 with whatever food you made, and pick them back up at 6:30. So I told DH that there wasn't enough time to drop her off, come home, cook dinner, eat, and get back to pick her up. I asked what he wanted to do for dinner...he says to ask DS. I said I didn't need to ask...I knew what he would want, because whenever you ask him what he wants, he says the same thing...fries and chicken nuggets. And if you give him a choice, he will choose McDonalds. DH was like ":hungover:" so I suggested we drop DD off, go to McD's for DS, then pick DD up and go get REAL food. He said great. So we're getting ready to go and then he was like "I think we should go through the drive through so he can eat at home and we can go get our food." I was like...there's NO way we have enough time...by the time we get his stuff, and then order our stuff, we'll need to pick DD up before our food even gets there. He's like..."Are we waiting until AFTER we pick her up to go to Daily Taste?" UM, YES!!! How in the world did he miss that??

I still need to wrap everything for ours! I bought everything months ago, but I don't have anything wrapped except the Harry Potter books because they wrapped them for us in the store.
I hope you have a great celebration!

It went fine. Traffic was TERRIBLE, and the restaurant was busy when we first got there, but it cleared out fast. DD ended up stealing about a 3rd of my meal...I don't think she had really gotten enough to eat at the dinner. There is a lot of unknown food...she knew 2 of her classmates were bringing Tuna pizza, so she steered clear of any and all pizza-like substances, and other than a piece of chicken, it didn't sound like she had anything substantial. So she was eyeing my dinner and I gave her the rest when I had finished about 2/3 and she scarfed it.
