I don't mean to be disrespectful but those sisters sound very manipulative and selfish. I hope your husband's can see this and not feel guilty or upset. I like the saying " You can't change people only your response to them."

You aren't being disrespectful at all, I think that too. I think my husband does think that a little too, but they are his sisters so there's that whole gotta love them because of family thing. I think in a way he is looking forward to just staying home.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas together this year. You can start planning how to get out out of next year's family Christmas in January ;)

@Gabe1 , I figure you're back home now, right? You must miss WDW, but you were lucky to fit in a recent trip. You're probably busy now trying to get caught up on everything--are you done with your Christmas preparations? What's for Christmas dinner? (My mind always goes to food! :hilarious: )
I do not see anything wrong with the mind being directly concentrated on matters that are top priority ;)

Well it sounds like the niece is a well-adjusted person, despite her parents. Is that the one who was embarrassed by her parents' reactions to the graduation gifts?

Yes,same niece although she was participating in the mockery for awhile too but then stopped after a couple.

I have to laugh, because apparently the trend here in the Netherlands this year is ugly Christmas sweaters. And the reason I have to laugh is because when I moved here, my MIL was SO embarrassed by my Christmas sweater, because apparently NO Dutch person would EVER wear something like that.:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: And she is all about trends...maybe I should buy her one for Christmas...

I would love to hear about your mother-in-laws reaction to the ugly Christmas sweater gift!!! :):joyfull:

Our last time doing CP had Whoopi Goldberg as the narrator and it was great. I'm sure I told this before but as a total stroke of luck we got to meet her. My daughter and I were standing up near the entrance earlier in the morning and Whoopi and some crewmen were walking around getting a view of the stage. They walked past where we were and she asked how we were and how our day was so far. Nice small talk. She was super nice to us. :)

People often have differing opinions about Whoopie, like about her acting, comedy, or politics, but I don't think I have ever heard any stories of her being a stuck up or diva type of celebrity. I always liked that about her, that she seemed to appreciate people, nice to see that your story collaborates that. :)

Thank you everybody. On a positive note we recently got on of those multi purpose convertible steamer thingys and the boys seem to like it. today was the first time the got to "play" with it. They took turns moving stuff around, using it and then organizing the rooms. I know it's just that it's new and a gadget but I'll take it. The whole house is clean and sanitized:joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull: even their bathroom:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
