Good morning everyone. I slept in till 8.30am, feeling very lazy. I decided that instead of reading the paper (is it still called a paper when you read it on your tablet?) I would catch up on the Chit chats and trip reports. A much better start to my day off.

Did your boss give you a little going away present or a cupcake on your last day?

Well, the company I used to use to send out my Christmas cards, Ink and Main a division of Hallmark is not operating currently. Luckily I was able to download my address book from them. I will just beg my kids to take a cutsie photo and send the pic to Walmart which is 3 minutes away. For the first time in maybe 10 years I will be hand addressing the envelopes. Hallmark would address and send them with their service. Yes, I became spoiled.

This weeks weather outlook for my neck of the woods. Could be worse.

It is just what you are used to. So, yes, that would feel toasty to me after highs in the 20's. However, it looks like I am going to have great weather there! Mid 70's most of it.

Nothing like 70’s in December. When do you leave?

I'm here. Disney buying Fox and I couldn't help but coming to read the comments. Apparently Wall Street likes it.

But no tree and I'm almost at the point where I apply for schools to get my masters, I think. Overseas is cheaper than schools like Bentley (45K) even with the exchange rate.

My aunt came this Thanksgiving but no crazy plates this year. But snow the past couple days even if it's only one inch at a time.

PS - I apologize but I'm not reading the 100 pages or so that I'm behind. It's too much.

We will see about next year, all we have heard back from them besides the initial texts from one of there husbands and the flights is silence. No word from the sisters. One of there kids got into a car accident on Wednesday (we saw a post on Facebook about it) and hubby texted the girl and his sister right away. I expressed relief that the girl was ok on Facebook as well as hubs, still nothing back from the sister (brads niece texted him back thanking him for his concern on her accident). Oh well that's their problem I guess.

Yup. And you and hubs enjoy a wonderful Christmas at home for a change.

Dollar Tree here is good for that. My daughter took some money she earned and bought a "thank you for coming" gift for everyone that is coming here for Christmas Eve. She bought her own wrapping paper too.

I am not working tomorrow so I will have time to pack up my things, do laundry etc. since I am flying to the Netherlands on Wednesday. I can't wait to see my family and for 2017 to be done with. It has not been a good year for the world, my adopted home London and me but I choose to believe 2018 will be better.

My last work day will be Tuesday but I doubt there will be anything special. They have accepted I am leaving and are being nice. I think they are secretly hoping I will change my mind over Christmas and come back in the new year.

@Gabe1 , I figure you're back home now, right? You must miss WDW, but you were lucky to fit in a recent trip. You're probably busy now trying to get caught up on everything--are you done with your Christmas preparations? What's for Christmas dinner? (My mind always goes to food! )

Thank you! What are your holiday plans?

In the morning, I go to church. Hubs and I will open presents mid-morning.

Then it's just me and hubs and I invite my sister over. I'll cook dinner for us (no, I haven't a clue what I'll cook yet ). Sometimes, I wander aimlessly in the supermarket and just buy anything that looks appetizing. (I like the sections where they pre-cook things, so I sometimes bring those home and all you have to do is heat them up!)
