The weekend is finally here...yay (kind of). I have been feeling a little off the last couple of days, tons of students have been sick so I knew what was coming. I was just hoping it stayed away until this weekend as we had Star Wars Thursday night and Friday was my work holiday get togther. I had organized our work holiday get together so I really didn't want to miss it. Luckily I made it through, but as soon as we got home from the party last night I sat down on the couch and literally I felt all my energy drain away and I sneezed a felt the full cold come on. So while it is a downer to be sick at least it was after the fun stuff I got to do and before my Christmas break started.

So after doing a quick clean of the house this morning, going to the Post Office, and shoveling the driveway I'm catching up on shows and movies today.

@Songbird76 how is your father-in-law doing? Doing better I hope.

Massive Christmas tree at the hospital when we went to visit FIL. We did end up having the party for my nephew, and my DH took my MIL to the hospital to get the results of the tests. It's strange...yesterday, the tests indicated something in the blood that meant he probably had a blood clot in his lung. But they did a scan today and there's nothing...he doesn't have pneumonia, he doesn't have a blood clot, but he has trouble breathing and they can't figure out why. They wanted to send him home, but he's scared of suffocating, so he's staying overnight for observation and he can most likely go home tomorrow.

Thank you everybody. On a positive note we recently got on of those multi purpose convertible steamer thingys and the boys seem to like it. today was the first time the got to "play" with it. They took turns moving stuff around, using it and then organizing the rooms. I know it's just that it's new and a gadget but I'll take it. Oh no! I'm sorry you're sick! I usually come down with the crud about this time every year...I have one more week to get through and then I can get sick. I'd rather NOT, of course, but if I am going to, it needs to wait. We have a Christmas concert on the 23rd. Once I've sung in that, it's open season.

I did say several pages in that I was critical of the situation and the way it was handled and I would not criticize the OPs character because I am the bigger person, so I will not.
It's taking a carpload of willpower, but I'm sticking to it.

Star Wars fans are notoriously hard to please. There was no way of keeping things fresh and pleasing fans while not getting hate. Some of them, I don't think, were ever going to be happy with anything but the original trilogy. I thought it was excellent. Go watch and see for yourself. :)
