The Chit Chat Chit Chat Thread

Okay. I found it and started reading it. Sometimes you should reassess a situation before you post. There were other ways to get back to the hotel. I would have been first in line for the next bus personally. You are already out late and the kids are tired anyway. So just wait another few minutes at that point. But, on to other things. I just realized that I received my first Christmas card in the mail and I haven't gotten any out yet.:eek: No family picture done. Nothing. Maybe I will work on it tomorrow.
I read a few pages of it but the tone was quickly turning a bit nasty so I hurried back to the chit chat thread.
I hope you get your Christmas cards done, you have my address right?;)

#1. This was parked in the lot down the street today, so I had to share:

2. I know there are some Harry Potter fans on here, and I was in tears laughing. It's so bad it's hilarious:

And finally #3. Could use some prayers and pixie dust for my FIL please. He was feeling...I can't come up with the English word for Benauwd...like...he couldn't breathe right, I guess? Anyway, he had that tightness all week and he went to the doctor today and they did some tests and sent him to ER...they THINK he has a blood clot in his lung. So they gave him some blood thinners, but it's kind of dangerous after the bleed he had in his brain at the end of September/beginning of October. So they have admitted him to the hospital and will do a scan tomorrow.

I think in English Benauwd is shortness of breath. I am sorry your FiL is unwell and right before Christmas makes it even worse. I am sending you lots of pixie dust and beterschap wensen.

I'll give you a summary...

OP got on the bus with his wife and kids, four year old and eight year old, right after Happily Ever After. No wait, but it was standing room only. The OP started looking for a seat for his wide and four year old and spotted a group of 20 somethings two men and two women, decided that they looked young and healthy and could stand, and says loudly to his wife, "Well, just ask them if you can sit down." Then he gets closer to them and confronts. One of the women says, sorry, no, I'm falling asleep on my boyfriend's shoulder here. The guys just ignore him. No one gives up their seat for the kid. The OP waits until they had gotten off the bus, and then, hoping for an altercation so he could punch one of the guys (the OP said that in the post) reams them out and they just look at him "stupidly" as the OP put it and walk away. Then the OP goes into a rant about how all 20 somethings are rude entitled brats who were raised poorly and a reminded to all to raise their kids better than that and to always give up a seat on a bus.
Lol, talk about entitled. :joyfull:

I know it wasn't meant for me but I watched it anyway :p
My brother in Australia used to send me videos, gifs and photos on WhatsApp of stupid things, what I call man humor, so now I have the rule that unless it something with cute baby animals or cute kids he can't send it to me.
Most of the time he follows the rule.
I was meant for everybody but I know they both like cute cats so I tagged them. I didn't mean to leave anyone out:oops:

Like @Songbird76 I banged my big toe on the side of a bed and ripped off most of my nail. It was super painful and it took several weeks for the rest of the nail to fall off and another year before my freaky toe had a normal nail again. I hope @MOXOMUMD toes heal faster and are less sore.
Sorry to hear that but you're now officially one of us:hilarious:

Bedankt! Yeah, maybe we don't have a word for it and that's why I can't come up with it. Like...gezellig...there's no translation for it. My nephew's birthday is tomorrow and we're supposed to go to his party, but I'm wondering if he will even HAVE the party with Opa in the hospital. I guess we'll see.

I hope the party will happen, it could be a good distraction for the kids and something to occupy the adults.
