Very pretty, but WAY too much house for me. I think I'd be fine with about 1/3 of either...that would still be plenty. I like the pools in the first one, but is that the back yard? I thought it was the front at first and I was like...where do you park? And I wouldn't want the pool in my front yard, but the other pictures must be the front then? I agree...plenty of character. Just too much house for me.

Thanks! :)

Yes, the first two pics of that particular house are of the rear, and the second two are of the front.

It is good to be home with hubs and Kapono. Kapono gave me lots of kisses last night when I came home. Hubs was happy to see me too but Kapono demanded my attention. I am incredibly tired, but I have to stay awake to pick hubs up from church in an hour. I wish though that I was still in WDW though.

As for Thanksgiving it will just be me and hubs. My sister and her family are going to be in WDW. I will make us Thanksgiving dinner. Brad wants (demands) homemade stuffing. He says that I make it almost as good as my mom did! :) Since my mom's stuffing was excellent I am pleased that it is almost as good! I thought about us going out to eat but we may go to the movies that night Coco should be out and we both want to see Murder on the Orient Express. I think I read that you have your dinner reservations...smart girl!

Does than mean the pee'ing dogs are coming for Thanksgiving???

It is a nice compliment, a 2'fer, one for your Mom and one for you. I believe my stuffing is my favorite of Thanksgiving food though we are going out.

I'm sorry you had to come home so soon from WDW. How is hubby's leg? Is he getting around any better?

Both grandson's are taller than all of us. One at 14 and the other at 11. It's new things every few month's. Somebody is slipping to many hormone's into our food. A study suggest that tall people don't live as long as short people. I guess I'll be around a good long time!

I've always heard this too about really tall people. And, every time I've seen a story about someone who has reached 100+ they're definitely not 6'-5". Usually they're well under 6' tall. Granted, we lose height over time, but, not 7-8 inches.

There was a guest speaker at my work who was an expert on automation, and he said the current prediction is the all malls will be obsolete within five years. I think that's probably a bit aggressive, but you can definitely see them actively dying off. As someone who almost exclusively shops online, I'm part of the problem. The only time we go to the mall is for Build a Bear or other "experience" shops

Yep, probably a bit aggressive, although brick and mortar is definitely taking a hit.
A friend of mine back in the mid-80's used to work at a bank. She told me back in '85 that cash money would not exist in 5 years.
Yep, just a bit aggressive. :cyclops:

No
Before eye surgery

Nurse: how tall are you
Mom: 5' 4"
Nurse: No that can't be right.
Mom: yes it is do you want to see my drivers licence?
Nurse: I'm 5' 3" and look how much shorter you are than I am. Come here. (measures Mom)
Nurse: you are almost 5' 0" so we'll go with that
Mom to me: That nurse doesn't know what she is doing, she doesn't even know how to measure patients. I'm 5' 4" and continues to rant on loud enough to be heard.

Me, sleepy cause it isn't even dawn yet: MOM! Do you remember when you used to be taller than me????? Well you are not anymore!
Mom: Silent

In fairness the dang nurse dealing with an 80 year old woman about to have surgery could have just measured her, wrote it on the chart vs having a battle of wits with a patient. :cautious:
I had a conversation that was similar to that with my grandma a few years ago.

Her: I'm 5'2"
Me: Um, no you're not.
Her: Yes I am. I'm 5'2".
Me: Grandma, you are not 5'2"
Her: How would you know?
Me: Because I'm 5' and you're shorter than me.
Her:...No, you're taller than 5'.

Pretty sure I'm not. She's since accepted the fact that she's 4'10".

Oh and my other favorite of her lines: "I don't know where you got your height from."

Hmm, yeah. My maternal grandfather is 6'2", my maternal grandmother was 5'8", my paternal grandfather was 5'10"...and then there's her. Where indeed. My cousins were just fortunate their dad is over 6'. I was not so lucky.

Excellent pictures of your Mexico City trip @Cesar R M . Thanks so much for sharing. I liked the art work and that dress you shared. So cool to see all of it.
Thanks!

@Cesar R M , cool pictures of your trip! The hotel you stayed at had the hidden benefit of sinking?! Oh my, that would have unnerved me just a bit. ;)

I love the photo of the formal dining room, with all that silver on the table -- opulent and gorgeous. My dining room doesn't look like that. Oh wait . . . I don't have a dining room! :p (We do have a little kitchen table though, and it has a cotton tablecloth with a winter scene on it. We have salt and pepper shakers, today's mail, and a bag of dog food on the table.) :D
They definitively dined like kings in that place.

Anyway I will post the rest of the photos tomorrow and later on. As they are quite a few.
