And last photo of Today...

20171108_223154.jpg

After the show we headed back to the hotel. As we had to get up very early to take the bus to Pachuca ( a nearby town in another state)

So we got back, showered, and we got ready.

We woke up sort of early (7:00 am), it was very cold and windy that day.
We showered, had a quick breakfast in the buffet.
Then we got ready to leave..
We got to the Bus Terminal (Mexico city is huge, and has like 6 different Bus stations, way more if you count the private ones and executive ones) and we purchased our tickets.
There were barely any instructions around but we managed to find our way.

The security measures at first seemed lax. But we were surprised that once inside the bus (there was 1 bus out every 5 minutes in that terminal, it was pretty big). They took photos of us !! (o_O))
Then the bus went its way to Pachuca.

The traffic was horrible and we got delayed around 30 minutes, then an additional stop for extra people boarding.

And after a trip of 2 hours (usually 1 hour and half) on a big long highway. We arrived to the historic mining town of Pachuca. (more tomorrow)...

@Cesar R M , cool pictures of your trip! The hotel you stayed at had the hidden benefit of sinking?! Oh my, that would have unnerved me just a bit. ;)

I love the photo of the formal dining room, with all that silver on the table -- opulent and gorgeous. My dining room doesn't look like that. Oh wait . . . I don't have a dining room! :p (We do have a little kitchen table though, and it has a cotton tablecloth with a winter scene on it. We have salt and pepper shakers, today's mail, and a bag of dog food on the table.) :D

We had a nice big garden and my Mom canned what we didn't eat. So there were plenty of veggies for us. Dad liked to hunt, but I wouldn't eat any of that stuff, Mom once called it chicken I took one bite and never trusted her until she brought home a chicken from my Aunt's house...down the road, the raised chickens and eggs. We swapped our veggies for chicken and eggs.

My MIL did that to me once and only once. I really dislike lamb. She loves it. She made some form a a rolled ground lamb loaf stuffed with something. Not only do I not like lamb my system gives it right back the way it went in fairly quickly.

Before we were married she convinced her that I was lying and I couldn't tell the difference between ground lamb and ground beef in a loaf.
We sat down to a meatloaf dinner after our salad. She didn't tell me it was lamb. I swallowed as it was dawning on me what I was eating.
So at the kitchen table it immediately came back. Dinner was over. I was so freak'n angry. She never fixed me lamb again but she has been a pain in the butt and still is. So manipulative.

Not with this years air pollution. Smoke and fireplace smoke drives me crazy. The subdivision next to us allows wood burning fire places. We get to smell that all winter. Then the forest fires come. This state is not good for me.

We are OK with most wood burning fireplaces. It is what some people throw into a firepit that makes us gasp for air and I don't have respiratory problems, just DD.

Isn't it amazing that she fixated on something as lame as lamb dinner?! Why would she care if you liked or disliked lamb? She must not have a lot going on in her life. :hilarious:

@ajrwdwgirl , how does it feel to be back at home after your trip to WDW? I'll bet hubs was very happy to see you.

What are your plans for Thanksgiving? Are you going to rellies or are you staying home and cooking this year?

It is good to be home with hubs and Kapono. Kapono gave me lots of kisses last night when I came home. Hubs was happy to see me too but Kapono demanded my attention. I am incredibly tired, but I have to stay awake to pick hubs up from church in an hour. I wish though that I was still in WDW though.

As for Thanksgiving it will just be me and hubs. My sister and her family are going to be in WDW. I will make us Thanksgiving dinner. Brad wants (demands) homemade stuffing. He says that I make it almost as good as my mom did! :) Since my mom's stuffing was excellent I am pleased that it is almost as good! I thought about us going out to eat but we may go to the movies that night Coco should be out and we both want to see Murder on the Orient Express. I think I read that you have your dinner reservations...smart girl!

Well someone needs to keep the in store personnel employed. I do feel bad when I walk in our dead mall. I have lived here 6 years and have been maybe 6 or 7 times. It is in a dry county so they couldn't put any restaurants over there. There are barely any stores in there anymore. The movie theater is pretty much the only draw now. All the new shopping was built in my town so it has built up shopping wise but with mostly stores like Target and Kohl's and almost every chain restaurant you can think of but Chuy's.

WHAT?!?!?!?!?! :jawdrop:
No Chuy's...?????!!!!!!! :(

I am over an inch shorter then I was in my 20's. So yes, a lot shorter.

Before eye surgery

Nurse: how tall are you
Mom: 5' 4"
Nurse: No that can't be right.
Mom: yes it is do you want to see my drivers licence?
Nurse: I'm 5' 3" and look how much shorter you are than I am. Come here. (measures Mom)
Nurse: you are almost 5' 0" so we'll go with that
Mom to me: That nurse doesn't know what she is doing, she doesn't even know how to measure patients. I'm 5' 4" and continues to rant on loud enough to be heard.

Me, sleepy cause it isn't even dawn yet: MOM! Do you remember when you used to be taller than me????? Well you are not anymore!
Mom: Silent

In fairness the dang nurse dealing with an 80 year old woman about to have surgery could have just measured her, wrote it on the chart vs having a battle of wits with a patient. :cautious:
