Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
All this talk about Chuy's made me look for a location. The nearest one to me is 85 miles away outside D.C.!:eek: I may find a way to get there though since it sort of is on the way to some cheer competitions this season, and my dd6 loves Tex Mex, especially chips and cheese.:)

:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: Although, I have to say that Lundberg's brown rice cakes with salt do taste good with hummus. (Please don't throw stones!):D

OK, I'm holding off on the stones but brown or white rice cakes? Seriously? Bluck. ;) Worse Hummus. There is a world of food out there. Give me some Bread Service and the full round of Chutney's any-day. :hungry:

When my parents got divorced, my mom hadn't been in the workforce for over a decade...The bank wasn't hiring, and that's what she had her experience in. So instead she set up her own business cleaning houses, and in between those jobs, she was a crossing guard. She'd go in the morning to do Crossing guard duty, then go to her first cleaning job, come back at lunch and eat in the car and do the lunch crossing guard duty, clean her second house, and then come back in the afternoon for crossing guard duty after school. In the evenings she took in laundry and ironing and babysat neighborhood kids whose parents worked at the mine. She worked harder than anyone I have ever known....you'd be hard-pressed to find someone willing to do all that these days. Or someone who COULD...it's hard to combine jobs.

Mom's are awesome!

Yeah, I looked up the menu, and they have chicken nuggets, so DS might actually eat there!! We were planning on going to a Mexican restaurant last weekend for a date night, but then FIL ended up in the hospital and those plans went up in smoke. No one was worried about a date night with that going on, even if my MIL had been able to take the kids. I think our date nights might be at an end until the kids are old enough to fend for themselves. My FIL is just not in good enough health and my MIL really isn't up to doing everything herself anymore either. But DS won't eat Mexican food, so we can't really go out with the kids unless the restaurant has fries and chicken nuggets or a hotdog, and most places around here don't. But I found several things on Chuy's menu that looked good...Now I'm craving Mexican food!

I feel your pain with your DS. In his earlier years he would only eat in his lunch box either peanut butter sandwiches crust cut off necessary or a slice of cheese only pizza. Years and years of this.

Hahaaa...!!!!! :hilarious: ;) :)
Speaking of vacations, we cancelled our Key West trip for this coming December. We actually cancelled it way before we even knew a certain storm would tear up the whole place, 'cause a 7-day Carnival cruise was actually much less expensive. Plus, DWifey and I have never been on a cruise before...!!! ;)
Heck, the last time we were on a vacation that lasted a week was back in June of '13 for our family WDW trip. The only other ones we took were to Port Aransas for a coupla' days, and the Princess 5K back in Feb. of last year.
Not complaining, but, that was one whirlwind trip...we flew in on a Wednesday night, did the 5K between a coupla' Park days, and flew out on Saturday afternoon. I'm pretty sure that doesn't koala-fy :hilarious: as a real vacation...?!
Maybe, just a break...?! o_O

;)

Oh, a cruise! How exciting for you and DWifey!! :)

Going to a huge Christmas craft fair (it's once a year at the MA World Trade Center). I usually don't buy much of anything, but I just like to putter around and gawk at stuff. (I probably spend more at the food concession for lunch, than buy from vendors. ;) ) Pain in the butt to get there, with connections via 2 buses and 2 trains though. But, I felt like doing something different this morning.

Sounds like fun! I was at Target yesterday and couldn't help wandering into the already huge Christmas displays.

And we must take ME into account. The self CONFESSED GERM-a-phobic. You would have a laugh attack watching Me and Mine when someone in public sneezes, coughs etc....as we all immediately dart. And we are the Family that if we have someone ill behind us at Disney or elsewhere that lets steps out of line and let multiple people pass before rejoining the queue.
So when someone sneezes you opt to walk into it rather then be in front and ahead of it. Germs are in the air, you cannot get away from them unless you stop breathing and that will not be beneficial to your health either. I know this will not be accepted, but, try letting ones immune system do what it is designed to do. One of the sure ways of living longer.

I won’t run and hide, but do load up on my immune helpful vitamins. :D
:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: Don’t I know it. It is like the couches are fur magnets.
