The Chit Chat Chit Chat Thread

I like @figmentfan423 stick to a few 'safe' threads on Chit Chat. Some are more drama safe than others. Some parse words and I can't deal with the hidden meaning of all that. Here while we do disagree with each other on occasion we are not the type to carry a grudge if someone wigs out. Works well. I tend not to mess with other areas that are not welcoming. Then again I tend to stay away from from the tension of posting on N&R or Political Forums, I don't do UGLY well but can at least Endure N&R to passively read.

What are you finding enjoyable on Chit Chat?
Hmmm....Gabe1 asks :What do I find enjoyable about the Chit Chat forum?
1. Posters here have freedom to share about whatever is on their mind / heart // Random posts...off the current posts' topics are ok ;)
a) many can feel comforted when their frustrations or fears are posted and forum friends provide support or helpful feedback
b) posters share something fun or positive in their life and others come along side them on the thread and share in their happiness.
2. I like Moxo's photos
3. I enjoy any and all humorous posts.:D
4. ....and yes Gabe 1, I'm with you that if I give of my relaxation time at home by viewing a forum....I want everyone to basically get along and avoid hurtful posts. No drama between fellow posters is a plus.

I need to catch up on your hubby's last two days to see what the conclusion was......???

Sorry I forgot to update I guess. So no cast, for now. Dr has him wrapping it and in a non weight bearing boot. We go back next week for the doc to check it out again and make sue nothing has moved and all is going well to continue with the boot.

Hubs is adjusting ok and getting around ok. He is wrapping it and putting his boot on all by himself. He still likes to have me help him put the ice pack on which is understandable because those can be tricky to get them to stay in the same spot.

We will see how he does on his own completely today. One of his friends came over to see him yesterday for a couple hours and today is my niece's birthday party. He could go with but that would just be a lot of hassle.

Someone at work had the Iphone X already and she's like I don't feel like I paid $1,200 because the price is attached to my monthly bill.

Edit - Study has us replacing phones every 2 years. India is the longest with every 8 years.

I try to go as long as possible when changing phones. I only got new phones when I was having serious issues. I just got the iPhone 7. I could have gotten the 8 but that would have raised my bill more than getting the new 7. That only raised my bill $10.

Last tim I saw my in laws they just got iPhone 8's and both bro-&sis-in law had the iPhone x on preorder. :cautious: I like new tech but I'm not one of the people that has to have the latest and greatest. My philosophy is If it works it seems like a waste to get something new just to have the newest.

Going to a huge Christmas craft fair (it's once a year at the MA World Trade Center). I usually don't buy much of anything, but I just like to putter around and gawk at stuff. (I probably spend more at the food concession for lunch, than buy from vendors. ;) ) Pain in the butt to get there, with connections via 2 buses and 2 trains though. But, I felt like doing something different this morning.

That sound like a lot of fun. Hope you have a great time and get something cute!

I had my flip phone for 10 years:D My current phone for about 3 and it will get replaced when it dies or when I will wind up saving money long term:D

Good morning, everyone. Well, we get to chalk up another weather cruise experience...we went through the tropical storm, Saturday night....cruising back to port. Those big ships, can get rocking pretty good on the 10th floor (that's where our cabin was). Outside, all you could see was a wall of water. I have not seen this much rain in a long time. We made it back safely, and that's all that matters. More pictures to follow.....View attachment 241283

Well, if you have been checking this forum recently, you might have heard about me saying "Sorry Wrong Number" to my best friend. I had lunch with her today and right as we sat down she said...
"Sorry wrong table," as a joke.
Sadly the waitress overheard and she moved us thinking we were unhappy with our spot!
We both kept on laughing!
And yes I made a new contact for her new number!

Hahaaa...!
That made me chuckle...!!! :hilarious: :)

I have a curiosity question everybody.......when you come to this thread, do you first look at the various thread options on the Chit Chat Forum? ......or....do you pop directly into this thread and you are actually unaware of the other Chit Chat FORUM threads?

I'm aware of the other threads, but, this is the one I'm most comfortable on, so I mostly post here.
As you know, I also do A Word With Friends, but , I also cruise N&R and Trip Reports from time to time.
That's, mostly, it for me.

I don't know if you noticed, but yesterday I posted a really long joke on this Chit Chat thread. The day before I asked the question about "if people look at the Chit Chat homepage and are aware of other threads?"......'cause I knew my joke was long and I wondered if I put it as a stand alone separate thread....well.....would most people not even notice it....would it be missed by many on here??
In the end I posted my lengthy joke here......it was too lengthy. Oh well.....live and learn :)

No worries! :)
I'm still playing ketchup, so I haven't gotten to your joke yet, but, will here in a little while.
I, generally, try not to make my posts too long, but, sometimes if your thoughts/story require it, it's unavoidable. People can choose to read it or not...I don't take it personally.
Regarding the jokes, as they say... "Brevity is the soul of wit."
That being said, some drawn out jokes are awesome...!

I've probably posted this one too many times myself , but, I just love it...!!!!! :joyfull: :hilarious: :cyclops: ;) :)

Update on my hubs....I took him to the Dr. this afternoon, we both assumed that he would be getting a cast. The ortho doc took some new x-rays and determined that hubs should ace bandage his ankle and use a non-weight bearing boot. He said the ankle bone looked stable and as long as that held the wrapping and the boot would probably work best. Plus hub ankle was still really swollen so we are still keeping it elevated and icing it. So he has another appointment in a week and hopefully everything will still be going well.

A church member brought over a shower chair today so hubs got his first shower since Monday he was so happy about that. He said he feels human again!:)

Continued prayers that he heals quickly!
And, a very sweet gesture from that church member...! :)
