That will never happen to me. I don't like Seinfeld like the rest of the country does. Even Friends is not that funny to me though sometimes it is.

Will and Grace would be the drink out of nose show.
I don't watch Seinfeld often because the despicable characters get on my nerves after a while, but I love Elaine and some of her remarks. And there are some episodes that are just classics. The puffy shirt, shrinkage, Festivus...every Dec 23, I'm like, "Shall we begin with the airing of grievances?":hilarious:

I don't care much for Will and Grace, and I've never really watched Friends. Big Bang Theory we watch pretty much every night and reference all the time. Oh, and Everybody Loves Raymond...if I was having a bad day when I was in college, an episode of that could make me feel better.

Help us settle a debate. Our fake tree we put in the living room has seen better days and may get replaced this year. Should we get a slightly smaller tree, go all out and cram in another large for the room one, get the palm tree and have the room look uncluttered(that's what I'm selling my dh on:oops:), or just pick up a stand and get a real one?

I have a pretty 3 foot tree now that sits on an end table in my livingroom. It is pre-lit white with a tiny tad of snow spots. The tree is scarcely decorated in an outdoor woodsy theme. It is quaint. I had a 7 foot mother of a tree that was jam packed with ornaments and 'stuff' for decades. It too had seen better days and could have really used a whirlpool bath other wise it was still solid.

I just became sick of looking at it over the decades and it was huge. Nobody wanted to put it up or hang the ornaments any longer, nobody wanted to spend time taking it down and packing up all the ornaments. I divided all the ornaments up that were special to the family and then each kid. I tossed or garage saled the balance of all those ornaments and the tree sold too at the garage sale (I put it together) as it was an expensive fake tree.

At the same time I tossed or divided up most of the decorations for inside the house. So now I have my tiny little charming tree and bought a handful of new understated Christmas decorations that lack bling. Outside I put a spotlight on the Christmas wreath on the door and put lights on the white picket fence upfront and done. In the yard I have a small Christmas tree in the back corner of the property planted to hide a utility pole. I decorate that tree in white solar lights, I could see this tree from my kitchen, family-room and my bedroom. It looks pretty out in the distance and is kinda charming for the season. If the system freezes past Christmas time I just shut off the solar until it defrosts. And done.

My DD on the other hand has enjoyed collecting new stuff and putting up a narrow but 6 foot tall tree in her apartment.

I never bonded with Seinfeld. Love Friends. Love Everyone Loves Raymond, likely 'cause we as a family could relate to it so much which offended my MIL when we would compare. *giggle*

Most of the characters in Raymond names are immediate family names of my inlaws and their children. Marie and Frank were my inlaws though my FIL was not crass but he was that very much leave me alone and stop stirring up trouble type man like Frank. My MIL is still Marie always up in someones business. While my MIL had three sons, my kids always said their Dad was Robert and their one Uncle is by far a clone of Raymond and Uncles Children were so much as unruly as the Twins were on Raymond.

There was a conversation this morning between my parents, and I thought, "Oh good grief, Frank and Marie here."

Dad: What are you making?
Mom: A fried egg
Dad: Why didn't you offer me one?
Mom: You don't like fried eggs.
Dad: But I would have eaten it!
Mom: It doesn't mean you actually like it
Dad: Well, make me a scrambled egg
Mom: I'm not making scrambled eggs
Dad: Well, I want eggs
Mom: Fine, would you like a fried egg?
Dad: Yes.

Our Amazon Sunday delivery guy sees that we have Disney stuff in the front yard and draws Mickey on the boxes. Today's Mickey was really quite good.

Awe. Too cute. He should work at Disney making Mop sidewalk characters.

My DD is waiting for a Sunday Amazon delivery via US Post Office. The glass door to the apartment vestibule is usually locked on weekends and at night, unlocked now with a post it note stating leave in vestibule or mail boxes outside on South Side of Building. Door Bells outside door to the North.

More often than not it is not delivered by post office on Sunday. Reason Business Closed Sunday. Yes the ground floor is a business however people still live in the apartments over the weekend. :banghead: Tiny tiny town, you'd think they'd catch on.

The retail association says the average American (USA) spends $86 dollars on Halloween. I spend zero.

I'd say I spend between $75 & $80

I buy the boxes from Sam's Club. Some kids get two.

I find it a positive investment in the children of my town 'liking' us as they are wandering around unsupervised after dark.
The kids on my road I'll give two or sometimes one of each. Never hurts to have the little varmint really happy with ya.

We just started getting Sunday delivery. It's nice. There's a shipping location in Baltimore, and I've been getting one day deliveries a lot lately. I ordered the cats a new water fountain. The old one we got the day we got Belle, and it's old and horrible to clean. We got a new one that's bigger and dishwasher safe. I ordered it yesterday afternoon and it was delivered today.

The state of MD is also bidding for Amazon to put their new headquarters in Baltimore. Not that I would want to work for Amazon, but it would be really great for the city if they were to put headquarters there.

Prayers and pixie dust, please. My FIL is in the hospital. He was vomiting black stuff.

Well lets pray for the best cause possible. I've seen this, bluck bluck bluck. He had a stomach ulcer. It would start to heal over and break up, bleed, loose ones cookies and yep black chunks. It was cured with double doses of Prilosec. But remains on them in a lower dose as a preventative. My Mom is on the same thing for similar reasons, aging stomach with bad acid re-flux.

I'll hope it is as simple.

It's going to be a cold Halloween here in Chicago. I am hoping for at least a little sunshine over the weekend, so I can put up some Halloween decorations in the front of my house. The Dollar Store near me had some great stuff. I bought so much, I am probably stocked for years. My husband is headed to Target tomorrow for candy. He always buys way too much, and he is tiring of me telling him that all the time.

Well you got sunshine and it isn't as windy still freak'n cold for Octobers.

Kid went to an outdoor Halloween Party with a bonfire last night. Dressed as Sully with a NorthFace under. Actually worked well as Sully is plump, Kid is not. (note not her)

Chicago and Northern IL are bidding for it. Multiple proposed sights in the City, 2 in the Suburbs. One would be with the new Zurick Complex in Schaumburg about a mile from the mega Woodfield Mall on the old Motorola Campus. Out of all the sights in this area the one I like the best is the McDonalds Campus in Oakbrook, their international headquarters that they are leaving, it also houses a hotel and Hamburger University.

Me, would I open a Headquarters in Chicago? No. This state is crazy. Our State and Local Government is messed up and we have the Leader of the Free World that tweets about how awful Chicago is. So if I were the Empress of the Amazon I'd take a pass. But it would be so nice for the state.

Same, I found Seinfield beyond stupid o_o
The only thing that I found remotely funny was the NO SOUP FOR YOU guy.
Senfield for me was bland, weak, has zero interesting things.

Friends for me was better. But didn't click nor I understood the hype.
Meh, I found shows like Frasier funnier. or Scrubs and Big Bang Theory.

But then, I dont think you guys and gals would understand my obsession with some cartoons or right now.. Stranger Things Season 2.

I say new fake tree in the living room. I'm never comfortable with real trees, there could be a fire or maybe there is something living in there. Both are probably unlikely fears though. And you should still get the palm tree and put it in your bedroom and enjoy the tropics there.

As for animals living in trees, out here the Christmas tree nurseries have something called a "shaker" that is a machine that literally shakes the heck out of the tree--so that if there was anything living in there--it would be shaken to the ground. :)
