They say February 28th some will open. Other areas apparently need a lot of work. I haven't been seeing as many daily updates of the Hub as the dang hat seems to drawn those local photographers.
the part behind Walt's statue at magic kingdom definitively going to need a lot of rework.
its still bare with cables and tubes visible.

Turns out it wasn't just me though.
Methinks the design of the bottle is deliberately provocative.

Convenient if you're getting your Hubby to go to the store.
Pretty sure the conversation goes like this: Honey, can you pick me up some hair gel? You know, the stuff that comes in a bottle that looks like a giant ....

It took me a long time to figure out what you meant...

Then it hit me, and I was like, "oh." Either I'm particularly naive, or my head just isn't in the gutter.

They kind of are made that way. I guess they want them to stand out on a product shelf and be easily recognizable.

Well, the professor said she really was hoping that we would be off as well. So it was an easy class because literally no one felt like being there today. And she pushed back the due dates on several assignments, so I am now feeling far less stressed out.

Maybe depending on product. What they use here works very well even put down 24 hours in advance. They now sell the products for homes. You put it in a spray container like for weeds and put it down on the driveway and sidewalks. It says put until storm or until it rains and washes it away.

Initially when it starts to snow it melts at the striped area then as the liquid snow and melt mixtures oozes to the other areas of the road it melts that too.

The bonus of this is helps keep the ice from bonding with the road. Our county has been using this product for about 5 years now. Very effective, like night and day from the roads treated with it vs those not.

That's interesting. I know they also pretreat roads up here (when they have enough warning about a big storm) and it does help. What I don't know is what they use, or how they do it. But I have heard the mayor and governor mention from time to time that they do often pretreat the roads.

I shared this last year - our brine solution contains beet juice.
We can't afford to close down every time we get freezing rain or icy roads.
Clearly it's best to stay out of freezing rain if you can; but sometimes you're already out when it starts, and other times, you just have to be somewhere.

Beetle juice? ;) Oh, sorry, I meant beet juice. :p Anyway, I'm fascinated by that--what does the beet juice do? How does it help the road?

The only time I saw Walt who loves snow confused was when we had a massive massive snow 4 years ago with drifts to the facade level. The doors had 4 feet of snow and he was able to squish out and into a one foot shallow drift to do what he needed to and under the picnic table to turn around. He looked at me like what were you thinking woman? :jawdrop::joyfull:

Yup, it's the height of the snow that they can't comprehend. Since we now have between 4 feet (low) to 8 feet (high) snow banks all over now, it's almost like the dogs think they're somewhere else. It's disturbing to some of them, even though the scents in the neighborhoods are still everywhere, which the dogs can pick up easily.

My girlfriend does it 3-4 times a year. It is kinda harsh on your hair though. Try a couple of at home hot oil treatments before you go and have it done to build up the moisture in your hair. I did that before I had a reverse perm to help tame my hair.

Love the Monica Geller Big Hair episode.

My hair is fairly straight and tame all year, except for the summer only. A few times, I've thought about a straightening technique just for the summer months only, but the cost stopped me dead in my tracks. :jawdrop:

;) Um, yes . . . (It's straight out gorilla target marketing to "some" women . . .). Never cared for blatant advertising gimmicks.

They had those walk through security scanners at my interview today and those security wands.

I got beeped at my left wrist and the guy's like "Do you have a watch"?

Me: "I have a metal plate in my wrist."

Security: "Oh, I have those too but in my knee. Carry on."

Beeping in a private business but never through airport security

Agree, that's a face palm. A metal plate should definitely pick up through airport security, and not a good sign that it doesn't always. Boston Logan Airport has had, for quite some time now, the full body scanners which pick up more (I think Gabe may have also mentioned these machines as well, in other parts of the country). But certainly, not every airport has them.

TF Green has the p**n machines too though sometimes I'm lucky and go through the regular ones.

Just curious: did you get a stomach flu while you were down in WDW?
I got it in the last convention breakfast day.
I really do not have tolerance for that fake eggs they serve in breakfasts I think.
also my defences were already low due of the constant searing heat then freezing cold.
Didnt help when bus drivers on the last day started to blast the AC to max despite being cold enough.

Pretty sure the full body scanners undress completely with the exception of some some bare censoring in the nether parts.
