No, this is related to a spill she took a while back at work, stepping up from the parking lot, over the curb, and onto the sidewalk.
Everything has gone through Workers Comp, so the time between initial injury and the decision that surgery was the best solution has been a bit drawn out.
Interestingly enough, the other injury from several years you are referring to also involved a curb and a parking lot. She was getting out of the car on an end parking space with a landscaping curb, accidentally misstepped, and rolled her foot down the curb.

She has had her "quota" of parking lot and curb injuries. I hope she is doing much better....

Tomorrow, we get our flu shots. Joy, I always feel bad after those shots. But, at our age we don't want to catch anything going on the boat. Boring...and sis and I don't get along well. I've got to sneak a couple drinks to make this cruise tolerable. I wish I could go back to the good days of having a relaxing drink. If it's raining the whole time, I plan to sleep in and order room service. Hey, that's not so bad!;););) I plan to go back and do ketchup. Have a fun day, we are expecting snow on Tuesday. I don't blame you. Your son's needs comes way before the so called school system. That is awful...you have my sympathy.
