Good morning, everybody! I am looking forward to Friday Night Lights, tonight. I get to see my DD do her poms thing, and then run with 2 other girls across the field to march with the band. She still isn't sure who is going to be holding her trombone for her, so this should be interesting. @figmentfan423 I feel your pain, but it is for one kid. Up at 6AM, pom girls go out after the game, so I will be waiting up until midnight. Of course, a cat was nice enough to make sure I was up at 5. Bad part of open windows.

If you are independently wealthy or if you are willing to sell one of your children and mortgage your home, here's a little something you can see on Broadway starting this coming February.
Standard admission: Orchestra - $175.50 - $193.50
Mezzanine: $125.50 - $193.50
Balcony: $99.50 - $125.50

Sadly, I'm out.

I would splurge for this when the show is traveling! I hope it travels!

Better get your tickets now. These are the prices that Disney is charging. Scalpers are buying up as many as they can and re-selling them, sometimes for more than $9,000.

Holy Moly!! That's intense!

You can look at food photos through the app. SWG does not do standing in line. It involves paper receipts. And SWG does not do paper. Paper includes too many paper cuts, not to mention opportunities to get lost. :p (seriously, my boss knows to send me an email instead of handing me paper...)

I'm used to doing mobile ordering at home. We have a company that delivers us lunch, but you have to order online. When I go to Starbucks or Panera (with my migraines, Starbucks trips are weekly, sometimes more often) I usually order online to save time. Just go in, grab, and done. So I found the Disney app to be just as easy to use as those two. But I also like my technology. ;)

Sometimes when I go to Starbucks and the line is long, I order online while waiting in line. Then I get to just walk to the front and get my drink!

I had a chat with the school resource manager (I think that's basically what she is...she arranges for testing and extra help if a kid has special needs) this morning. DS wet the bed last night, which he's never done before, so I think he's not handling the changes very well...thank the Lord for small miracles, he starts therapy this afternoon. But, while we were talking, I asked about the playground and the bike parking, etc...I was right about where the bike parking is supposed to go, but she didn't say WHEN. But I was wrong about where the playground will be. This is where it will be...HOW they are going to fit in a whole playground area, I don't know....and it's RIGHT by the busy street. Sure, they have a fence, but how many soccer balls are going to end up in the street and kids climbing over the fence running after them...yikes. Even the Resource manager didn't seem happy about it. And the bike parking is across the bike path from the school...so kids come in, park their bikes, and then have to get across the bike path where all the other people are coming in. And it's just barely past the street, so you cross the street and need to get clear of it, but will have to stop for the kids needing to cross (there will be a crossing guard). With the number of bikes coming through there, they won't be able to just stop without blocking the street crossing. It's going to really back up traffic.

And here's the side path with the door the upper grades go in, which, they have already figured out doesn't flow, so they are going to make the 6th graders enter and exit at the community center entrance and use the other stairs because they can't get that many kids in and out in a timely manner and they hope moving the 6th graders to a different entrance will make the rest flow more easily. In the first picture, you can see the teachers standing there at the door, and my 6th grade DD and her friends walking up because apparently they didn't tell the 6th graders they would be going in the other door, and they are supposed to line up with their teacher and they couldn't FIND their teacher. In the 2nd you can see the gate at the end of the path that they have to go through to get to the front of the building.

I hope they get all the growing pains figured out soon. Nothing new is perfect on launch day. I hope that talking through his worries helps your son feel more comfortable in his new school, too. Again, sorry you're going through this!!
