Okay, first you should go back to the store. Then, return the iPhone and get an Android...

Jk. Somewhat. Let's see if helpful SWG is around...

It sounds like an iTunes issue if you've had two different phones not connecting. You should uninstall and reinstall iTunes. You also should uninstall a program called Bonjour before you reinstall iTunes.

Afraid that I know nothing of Apple (and honestly, not interested to learn about them,I HATE apple devices lol )

I think that will be @StarWarsGirl 's call?
I'm not sure if she knows way more of apple.

Alternatively, I can try to use my googlefu to find your issues.

Thanks to both of you for help. I had hubs uninstall iTunes for me, I don't know about that bonjour thing though never heard of it. He did that uninstall and fixed it for me. I could have done it I suppose but earlier in the day I had some other technology snafus, I was just done.

And haha about the Android! :joyfull::cautious:;)

I wasn't there. She was with her BFF from college. Seems the dessert, pie maybe had apple in the fruit mix but was a mixed berry pie??? She has always had respiratory issues from allergies vs asthma. The Epi didn't come into play until this new allergy to apples just in very recent few years. Something has changed with apples and maybe it seems just some apples. Don't know if it bio engineering or fertilizers, pesticides???? My niece in Ohio had the same reaction and has been transported so many times, it came about the same time as my DD started having horrible reactions. I know @StarWarsGirl has had some limited issues too. She is still fine with things like apple juice or apple sauce. Heating during processing seems to thwart. Don't get it.

I was late to her ER party. She knew she was OK with the Epi so by the time I heard word it was time to just pick her up and take her home. She knows I worry and spared me. She has such odd allergies and they are beyond random-no pattern. She fine, I will be fine after some sleep. Fortunate we are so close to a hospital. Thanks for the concern and everyone else too. Ahhhh
Ugh. Boy that's rough.

I've actually heard about the apple issue before. My friend's older sister has that. She eats apple sauce with no issue. But uncooked apples cause a problem. We see the same allergist, and according to him, it's the pollens on the apple that cause the problem, which dissipate with cooking.

It's basically another program Apple puts on there when you install iTunes. In order to fix iTunes issues, you have to completely uninstall it, including the bonjour component.

We've had various Apple products over the years. I had iPod Touchs, my brother has his iPod Touch, my mom has an iPad, my dad will likely end up with an iPad...I just don't like them as well as my Android, and after getting an Android phone that was really good, I never wanted to go back to Apple products.

What I like is that my phone operates independently of my computers. I back it up every now and then, but for the most part, I don't need a computer with my phone. Even for music, I sync my personal library on my computer to Google Play and then download it to my phone. iOS devices pretty much always want you to connect to a computer. Drives me bonkers. That, and no expandable memory. And it's not nearly as customizable. And Apple overcharges.

I asked him about the Bonjour thing and he said he dealt with that as well. I have heard good things, like you said about Android, and thought about it but I guess I'm more brand loyal than I think I am. I just can't give up my iPhone.

Good find! (P.S.: Always check the dates on any packages of food, coffee, etc., that you buy in discount stores, but I imagine you already did that.)
Companies can still do dirty tricks, like relabeling.
Walmart has been doing that dirty thing in a few supermarkets here.. aka selling tainted food and sold as "brand new, recently packaged"

I had a chat with the school resource manager (I think that's basically what she is...she arranges for testing and extra help if a kid has special needs) this morning. DS wet the bed last night, which he's never done before, so I think he's not handling the changes very well...thank the Lord for small miracles, he starts therapy this afternoon. But, while we were talking, I asked about the playground and the bike parking, etc...I was right about where the bike parking is supposed to go, but she didn't say WHEN. But I was wrong about where the playground will be. This is where it will be...HOW they are going to fit in a whole playground area, I don't know....and it's RIGHT by the busy street. Sure, they have a fence, but how many soccer balls are going to end up in the street and kids climbing over the fence running after them...yikes. Even the Resource manager didn't seem happy about it. And the bike parking is across the bike path from the school...so kids come in, park their bikes, and then have to get across the bike path where all the other people are coming in. And it's just barely past the street, so you cross the street and need to get clear of it, but will have to stop for the kids needing to cross (there will be a crossing guard). With the number of bikes coming through there, they won't be able to just stop without blocking the street crossing. It's going to really back up traffic.

And here's the side path with the door the upper grades go in, which, they have already figured out doesn't flow, so they are going to make the 6th graders enter and exit at the community center entrance and use the other stairs because they can't get that many kids in and out in a timely manner and they hope moving the 6th graders to a different entrance will make the rest flow more easily. In the first picture, you can see the teachers standing there at the door, and my 6th grade DD and her friends walking up because apparently they didn't tell the 6th graders they would be going in the other door, and they are supposed to line up with their teacher and they couldn't FIND their teacher. In the 2nd you can see the gate at the end of the path that they have to go through to get to the front of the building.

That path looks way too narrow.
I expect them to overflow to the small road o_O

Bonjour is the standard protocol program that controls the communication between Apple devices.
At least, that was 5 years ago when I read about it lol.
