my report so far:

I am surprised on DVC. There was a representative waiting for me when I arrived on the disney magicsal express.
knew all information.
Registration was a breeze.
Got my colored magicbands. but first issue.Concierge could not fix the Ohana reservation.
They still reasured I would not get charged.

So, unpacked and decided to go to eat something. So I headed to Magic Kingdom.
Despite everyone having cold clothes, the bus drivers insist in putting the AC unit at max power.. we were asll shivering and at 5 celsius or less... the driver of course didnt mind, she was wearing a jacket for snow lol.

Magic Kingdom was packed, I still felt very sad how many things are under construction. Theres even a big area infront of The Emporium that is covered in tarps and being remodeled.
The Hub is awful!. walls everywhere.. nightmare and I skipped that area all the day.

They were advancing in the planters too.

I managed also to snatch a few fastpass. I used one for its a small world. cute but some of the dolls looks creepy. As some of them do not have their eyes working properly.
Also, Peter pan was 80+minutes all the day.
I went and ate at columbia harbor. not bad.. it was packed.
service was superfast...

then I went to walk around and see things I missed before, like the circus area and the parts that were unfinished by september 2013. (new fantasyland)

funny thing.. I abused of my magic, and it worked pretty fine.
The app still bugged a few times, but restarting it fixed the issues. (displaying error )
but all my changes and fastpass settings functioned.

then I went to the hounted mansion.. best attraction imho.
then decided to change my last fastpass from splash mountain *(wass cold here).. to winnie the pooh, which was both mediocre and hilariously trippy.
Also weird that we were sa line of almost pure males in the line for winnie the pooh. all of us above 25 years lol.

After this, I went running to get to Ohana via a boat.
I managed to arrive in time.. but problem..
the guy in the reception was very old and lacked computer comprehension. he could not find my information.
It didnt help that my WDW app decided to logout by itself and I had forgotten my password.
So I stepped a bit away, resetted my password, got my information in the wdw app.
and still the guy could not find the reservation.
I had to spell the number because it was HIM who couldnt write the proper number.
the reservation was there.
sadly.. by the time I got in, wishes was on full glory, I managed to catch both a part of wishes AND the water pageant.

The good of Ohana, good food, unlimited, delicious wings and chicken.
the bad: my table was right by the entrance to the kitchens. and very far far away from the windows.
they also gave me 3 slices of meat all RAW.. the fourth was so so, at least it wasnt mooing.

pid my bill and left for the hotel via monoriel then via bus.

also no idea why I cannot upload images.
I like EWP. The last few times I saw it was from the FW dock.

This is why we have variety in attractions. :) Different things appeal to different people. I actually love Peter Pan's ride and wouldn't miss it. It's one of the few that I'll wait a long time to get on. For me, maybe part of it is just nostalgia, as I have happy memories of my mother and I riding that back in 1985. We thought it was beautifully themed and creative. I still feel that way. Certain rides like Peter Pan transport me back in time.

Now, to balance out some of the older and tamer themed rides that I enjoy, I'm also a big fan of all the roller coasters. They're a blast!

Same here, when it comes to the tame and the thrills. I love thrill rides everywhere, but, I still remember my first ride on the Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland way back in the day. The thing I loved, and still do, about it most is the fact that Disney even heavily themed a roller coaster.
And, it was also the worlds first tubular steel track coaster. :)
Good memories...

It's a nice ride, but I'm not willing to wait more than 30 minutes for any ride.

My dad and I waited an hour for EE on a passholder preview. We did 50 minutes for Star Tours after it reopened. Other than that, we generally don't wait more than 30-45 minutes for anything. Peter Pan is usually a once a trip thing for us. Especially with 7DMT now, our three FPs are usually Space Mountain, BTMR, and 7DMT.

Apparently, that was on purpose. Walt thought rollercoaster tracks would look out of place. So they built a mountain around it.

I love Matterhorn, but they need to smooth out that track. It hurts my back, and I'm getting too old for it at 20.

Interesting article--luckily I'm not lactose intolerant. Anyway, all I know is that no one can separate me from my chocolate, no matter what they put in it!! :hungry:

Columbia Harbour House is one of my absolutely favorite QS restaurants. I love to go upstairs and sit by one of the windows. It's peaceful up there, which is a rare experience at MK. I like their hummus sandwich a lot. They have a few things on their menu that you can't get anywhere else. :)

I also just recalled a fun conversation I had with a man at a nearby table. It was at the time that they building the infamous tangled toilets. We had a lot of laughs over that one!
speaking of the tangled potties. I feel sorry for these CMS ( I seen like 5) giving tours to groups of people, they were to show the area where Pascal supposedly is and then say stuff about the tangled toilets...
Also, speaking of bad show, you can see the water system maintenance tanks of Its a Small World right next to the tangled pooties.. they removed the trees there and you can see a lot now.

as for other things, I just returned from Epcot. the new lasers really look good. but why they only installed a pair of them? (the only group of colored lights seems to come from the England Area.(or was it the chefs du france?)
Also, the new speaker systems are louder but they vary way too much from strenght (the old parade song was playing as you leave.. and the sound variation was very clear)

On other notes, are they building something next to france? theres a big area walled out.

And finally rode spaceship one and test track.
Test track was really fun.. gotta love the percs of being single rider.
But the last 2 curves almost made me vomit. no idea why (the part before the car speeds at maximum) Pretty sure it was the weird smell of plastic.. who knows..

Yes, indeed. And, it also served double duty as camouflage for the center pylon of the skyway. :)

I last rode in it in June of '10, and I don't remember it bein' too rough.
Although, I have slept since then. ;) :)
Again, memories...

It was really bad in 2013.

Thanks to a bad car accident, my back is not in great shape, but I'm usually okay on rides. Even at Hershey Park I can do the wooden rollercoasters. Matterhorn...oy. Rougher than a wooden rollercoaster. Some say it has to do with the replacement cars, which are similar to WDW's Space Mountain cars. I don't know, but that thing HURT. I like it, but it really beat me up.

My dad keeps saying he'll be giving up on Space Mountain before long because it's so rough. Matterhorn he might give up by the next time we go.

US standards as in service and certifications.. for deaf people its still carp heh.
So Mexico is better? How? Didn't you say you have not been educated in Sign Language?

Disney offers so many things to help us along. Have you been using these?

"A Heffalump or Woozle is very confusel" ;) :)

Of all the Pooh movies we had on VHS when my kids were small the Heffalump or Woozle portion was my least favorite. Though the newer one with the new voices I wasn't found of either.

I hurt my back badly about 10 years ago. It appears I actually broke my back standing up from a sitting position on a couch. :cautious: As I understood like a stress fracture. :banghead: I could not lay flat for 1 1/2 years. Space mountain hurts. Even after its rehab it was anything but smooth. It has been a long time since I rode Matterhorn but from my understanding it is in the same category. Now Rock'n I'm OK back wise but I am old and it does mess with my equilibrium. I didn't ride it last year cause it messes with my DD head too. My DH rode Rock'n once and his brain wasn't well till the next day. So done. Now Everest is my dream coaster. So sad it is AK cause I don't spend much time there and is really the only reason I go there. Still my all time favorite coaster remains to be Thunder. I can get off that one and get right back on again. From the theming to the whipping around I just love that coaster. It is my favorite coaster anywhere.

Yep, CHH, along with Flame Tree and Sunshine Seasons, are standout QS/CS for us, although we haven't tried them all, of course.
Also, I remember the Landscape of Flavors food court at Art of Animation bein' really good too, when we stayed there in July of '12. The Surf and Surf Burger (popcorn shrimp on a crab cake) was mighty tasty. :hungry: :)

And yes, we always head upstairs to a window table (if there's one available) at CHH, as well. :)

you're misreading everything I have been writing lately.

I never said mexico was better, not even close. I actually said the opposite.
Hotels might get the USA type certifications and standards, but for people with disabilities.. companies dont give a carp.

*edit*
Seems I missed to say something about the equipmentfor deafs in myfirst trip report.
or maybe I did..not sure now...

anywaty... almost always the deaf equipments overheated and failed after mere minutes failing. displatying battery error (I tried 3 units, 1 in animal kingdom, one in magic kingdom and one in epcot). CC was supposedly to work in many areas. but they were NOT TURNED ON. fantasmic for example..I was seated in the area for deaf (with supposedly reflexived glass subtitles.. they did NOT WORK)not to mention a lot of the attractions had no CC enabled.

I suppose they might work now.
Will try again in animal kingdom tomorrow and report. Because in my first trip.. my magic failed badly as well.. and nowas been working fine.

To resume, I wsas surprised of these services. had a lot of hope as a lot of stuff had the CC logo. And I was hearbroken to see that it didnt work properly the mayority of the time, or the devices crashed.

I get that. If you aren't aging in the back region I can see space and Matterhorn being OK for our age demographic. I was fine with Space until I decided to get off the couch that day.
