Because it is whimsical and very well done.I never understood how Peter Pan still is a popular ride

And still one of my favorites.Because it is whimsical and very well done.
How come?Dark Chocolate is getting some bad press today.
the animatronics really need some love.Because it is whimsical and very well done.
How long are you there for? Because if you are there past the 25th, you can make a lunch reservation for BOG starting on the 25th.fantasyland looks good, but .. i dunno.. doesnt feel cohexive like the other parts of the park. There wass a lot of people too.
I mean, there are too many empty parts and feels like its missing details.
Also the construction areas are unbelievable. The castle is blocked most of the day, the crane is there, the hub is 70% done I think, they are already installing plants and planters on one side.

note that these photos are above the wall. The wallisnt invasive so people can watch the fireworks and the castle show.

watching the parades are a nightmare with the wasll up. All people flood the liberty tavern area now.
mine train as average 60 minutes or more.
also some musings of today and yesterday.
Yesterday, there was this black tall dude with Princess Tiana and Prince Naven. The entire queue and the CMs were laughing nonstop, he seemed to make very good jokes. Tiana was like suffocating of laugher.
Yesterday all attractions I attended, worked fine.. today in the other hand.. the haunted mansion broke 3 times in a row. was stuck in an area for 5 minutes twice.
Seems two doombuggies were severely glitchy and they had to skip these from the rest of the day, leaving them empty.
The mine train was very good, but way too short. The internal scene goes way too fast.
Another one that I liked was peter pan, the sence of flying and most scenes were really good.
But not worth waiting more than 50 minutes. The wait time is insane and suffocating (the queue is very thight)
Also, the reason of the slowdowns is.. for every 6 people of the normal queue, approximately 30 of fastpass enter. its like 70% of the capacity is sorely for Fastpasss.
I really liked the fish and shrimps at the Columbia Harbor House. I will get the lobster roll on the 15th.
Be our guest is definitively awesome from inside.
Another complaint was the Disney transportation.. so sloooow! It usually takes up to 40 minutes to travel from the park to the hotel and viceversa.
managed tomiss rope drop by 5 minutes due of the bus arriving late.
I agree 100% w/ CHH, Flame Tree, Sunshine Seasons, and Landscape of Flavors (sic -Yep, CHH, along with Flame Tree and Sunshine Seasons, are standout QS/CS for us, although we haven't tried them all, of course.
Also, I remember the Landscape of Flavors food court at Art of Animation bein' really good too, when we stayed there in July of '12. The Surf and Surf Burger (popcorn shrimp on a crab cake) was mighty tasty.![]()
And yes, we always head upstairs to a window table (if there's one available) at CHH, as well.![]()
Columbia Harbour House is one of my absolutely favorite QS restaurants. I love to go upstairs and sit by one of the windows. It's peaceful up there, which is a rare experience at MK. I like their hummus sandwich a lot. They have a few things on their menu that you can't get anywhere else.
I also just recalled a fun conversation I had with a man at a nearby table. It was at the time that they building the infamous tangled toilets. We had a lot of laughs over that one!

It might not look attractive, but you could always carry a shower cap and put it over your head on any of the water rides! It would keep your hearing aids and implant dry.
I agree 100% w/ CHH, Flame Tree, Sunshine Seasons, and Landscape of Flavors (sic -), but the best ever (EVER!) QS meal I've had was at POFQ last trip.
Hopefully I still have the pic in my phone.![]()

Or this?
I remember seeing Star Wars A New Hope on opening weekend and I was hooked.![]()
It was really bad in 2013.
Thanks to a bad car accident, my back is not in great shape, but I'm usually okay on rides. Even at Hershey Park I can do the wooden rollercoasters. Matterhorn...oy. Rougher than a wooden rollercoaster. Some say it has to do with the replacement cars, which are similar to WDW's Space Mountain cars. I don't know, but that thing HURT. I like it, but it really beat me up.
My dad keeps saying he'll be giving up on Space Mountain before long because it's so rough. Matterhorn he might give up by the next time we go.
I saw it after a rather thorough shutdown/refurb in 2013, and it looked great!the animatronics really need some love.
nope, leaving on the 16thHow long are you there for? Because if you are there past the 25th, you can make a lunch reservation for BOG starting on the 25th.
I remember gettin' ready for school one mornin' back in the spring of '77, and on one of the local news shows they were interviewing, in studio, this young, new actor that was in town to promote an upcoming movie he was starring in.
It was Mark Hamill, and they showed the Millennium Falcon "Great, kid! Don't get c*cky." clip.
I remember thinkin' how cool this movie looked like it could be.
The rest is history...![]()
Im afraid I cant compare, never been at magic kingdom before 2013.I saw it after a rather thorough shutdown/refurb in 2013, and it looked great!
How come?
Yup, that's what we used to tell our unsuspecting victims too.
Because it is whimsical and very well done.
Who has done the overhead dark ride better?Yeah, I'm in @FutureCEO 's camp. I find Peter Pan very dated and lack luster. Others have done it better, same with Pooh. It is far from 21st century imo. I'll ride it with a FP cause it is there but I'd never wait a long time in a queue for it.
