Back to work this morning, and not looking forward to the commuting. It will be a mess, with delays.

I am hoping I'll catch a glimpse today, of the Yeti in the city. I also saw (on a different report than what I posted here yesterday) that he's also helped out a few people shovel out their cars that were buried in snow. :) He doesn't say anything while he's helping out, and then just mysteriously disappears again.

Snow cone...?!

Nope, doesn't work that way. Sign languages can be as different as the spoken languages in their respective countries.

As far as Disney CMs. Not sure how much I believe they are "trained" in ASL. Even if they are, there is a huge difference between being able to spell your name, point in the direction of the nearest bathroom, and being able to communicate with a deaf person at a high enough level to understand dinner reservation issues.

Are you speaking from experience? I am. Just like testing out in a foreign language to appear on their name tag so bis ASL. I did not have issues in Mexico signing and communicating in the major hotels I've stayed in.

Oh Boy! Chicago's Little League Jacky Robinson West, the all star team that one the National Title this year was stripped of their title. Being reported that the adults messed with the boundaries and created a super team with athletes that were not all from within the boundaries. :banghead:

Big people in children's sports can be so annoying. :cautious:
Chicago folks rigging things? Say it ain't so!!!!

you are correct on this, while the basic abc might be the same.. the words and sentence movementsare very different between languages.

@Cesar R M , I hope you have a very happy day today--your first full day at WDW!!! I'm not sure what the schedule is for the convention you're attending, but I know that you'll certainly have time to visit the parks and there during your visit.

Glad to hear that you finally were able to have dinner at Ohana, with the exception of those few pieces of meat that were undercooked. It's good that the rest of the meal was delicious.

I'll be curious to know your impressions of new Fantasyland. It was so crowded last May when I went there, that I didn't spend much time at all. I did go on the mermaid ride, but that was it.
fantasyland looks good, but .. i dunno.. doesnt feel cohexive like the other parts of the park. There wass a lot of people too.
I mean, there are too many empty parts and feels like its missing details.
Also the construction areas are unbelievable. The castle is blocked most of the day, the crane is there, the hub is 70% done I think, they are already installing plants and planters on one side.

note that these photos are above the wall. The wallisnt invasive so people can watch the fireworks and the castle show.

watching the parades are a nightmare with the wasll up. All people flood the liberty tavern area now.

mine train as average 60 minutes or more.

also some musings of today and yesterday.

Yesterday, there was this black tall dude with Princess Tiana and Prince Naven. The entire queue and the CMs were laughing nonstop, he seemed to make very good jokes. Tiana was like suffocating of laugher.

Yesterday all attractions I attended, worked fine.. today in the other hand.. the haunted mansion broke 3 times in a row. was stuck in an area for 5 minutes twice.
Seems two doombuggies were severely glitchy and they had to skip these from the rest of the day, leaving them empty.

The mine train was very good, but way too short. The internal scene goes way too fast.

Another one that I liked was peter pan, the sence of flying and most scenes were really good.
But not worth waiting more than 50 minutes. The wait time is insane and suffocating (the queue is very thight)
Also, the reason of the slowdowns is.. for every 6 people of the normal queue, approximately 30 of fastpass enter. its like 70% of the capacity is sorely for Fastpasss.

I really liked the fish and shrimps at the Columbia Harbor House. I will get the lobster roll on the 15th.
Be our guest is definitively awesome from inside.

Another complaint was the Disney transportation.. so sloooow! It usually takes up to 40 minutes to travel from the park to the hotel and viceversa.
managed tomiss rope drop by 5 minutes due of the bus arriving late.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
After almost four years of having perfectly manicured Bio-Gel sculptured nails, I had them removed.
(I did try this about a year and a half ago, but caved!)
Just like I knew, my nails are absolutely trashed!

I look at it this way ... probably not going back to work until the end of May, still need to lose 40 lbs, also growing out my bangs and a couple of layers ... might as well get three months of "ugly" over with all at once.

I never understood how Peter Pan still is a popular ride

This is why we have variety in attractions. :) Different things appeal to different people. I actually love Peter Pan's ride and wouldn't miss it. It's one of the few that I'll wait a long time to get on. For me, maybe part of it is just nostalgia, as I have happy memories of my mother and I riding that back in 1985. We thought it was beautifully themed and creative. I still feel that way. Certain rides like Peter Pan transport me back in time.

Now, to balance out some of the older and tamer themed rides that I enjoy, I'm also a big fan of all the roller coasters. They're a blast!

Do you have any disco clubs there? I hear Yetis love to disco, so you should check there

Yes, I have also heard that the Yeti loves to disco. But at least in Boston, Disco went out in the 70s, so alas, no disco clubs there for him!

I didn't see him today, and will probably never get a glimpse of him. He is somewhat elusive, and of course, he blends in with all the snow!!! :p
