A vice president of one if the departments at my company rides his bike to work. Only we don't have bike racks, so he keeps the bike in his office. And he wears one of those yellow suits to ride. So every day that the weather is nice at precisely 4 pm I hear him wheeling his bike down the hall, and think, "Whelp, he's leaving for the day." :hilarious:

My Sis lives in Cleveland proper, a dare devil she is. During nice weather up to Thanksgiving she rides her bike to her law office everyday. She always is in a suit as she usually has to pop into court at least once a day. She wears leggin's under her business suit and straps her brief case to the back and her lunch in her basket. She has been in the same building for about 20 years. She HAD the coolest retro bike, a real nice one. I loved it with envy.
She came out last summer to the bike rack and it was gone. She watched her security camera and sure enough someone came with a car, cut the chain and the car drove away and the other dude rode her bike away forever.

Now her replacement a fine bike but so not the same goes up the elevator and gets parked in her office. It is a shame you can't have nice things and keep them. She has had potted plants stolen from her home, bushes dug up and her DD bike stolen fro her porch, a kids bike and strangely board games they had on her front porch.

She wonders why I don't visit more often  I actually love her home she converted a 2 flat to a single family home very eclectic style now. Still if it isn't bolted down...it is gone.

It's kinda' funny, actually...
The one dude that cut my hair was about a year ago. I was a walk-in. I have no problem with dudes cuttin' my hair. They just usually seem to be workin' the front, though, and not cuttin' hair. This dude was good, and I went back a few months later to the same place in our local mall hopin' he was still there, and the place was closed. Bummer.
Been goin' to the local Sport Clips since.
All ladies, and they are definitely consistent...! :)

I'm don't concur. I have a simple haircut. My hair comes generally to the bottom of my shoulder blades, hair thick and very wavy. I always ask for it to be cut one length and the very bottom to be feathered to make it lay nice. Stupid lady layer all my hair from the bottom of my skull on down. Wavy course hair and mega layers-humidity, so bad. It looks pretty when I just do it...walk outside in the summer and wowsa. It is tending to live in a pony tail. It will be fall before I can undo this ladies creativity.

There was a frontpage image in cnn.com about the damage the riders get in their legs, its disturbing! (the leg joints look all sore, redish and veiny)

Kinda like the genuine 'runners.' My Dad ran marathons and ran Boston multiple times. He tanked both his knees and a hip.

No good comes from exercise. (mind you I had 19,300 steps on my Fitbit today)

As of this afternoon, I am indeed a trendsetter...!!!!! :joyfull: ;)
And, the person that cut my hair was a she. :)
In fact, in about the last 30 years, I can only remember one dude ever cutting my hair. :cyclops:
My guys barber is a guy and they all seem to like him and not the woman who works there although I don't think my dh's opinion should count. He gets the up one side down the other buzz:confused: Come to think of it over the years most of my favorite haircuts have been done by men.

My DD is in the town square of our town. She got hit much worse than us as all her trees are gone. She is on the top, 2nd floor and her apartment got it the worse (0f 4) 100 year old building. She has a hole in her roof from the tree from the 125 year old home next to her that landed ontop of her apartment. The tree people dragged that off today and it had to be done but did more damage, likely couldn't be helped. Roofers coming to look tomorrow. Anywhoo...there are branches everywhere on the ground, not on the tree though. It cooled off late afternoon (another story) and I saw a family of Cardinals going in an out of huge branch on the ground. They were so pretty. I wondered if there nest was in there cause they kept coming back. Glad they survived but if they were looking for shelter or their nest is in there it will be a goner very soon.
Oh my how horrible. Is she staying with you? Prayers and pixie dust my friend xoxo

Not yet. We're going to feed them tonight at opposite sides of the baby gate. My mom will feed Jasmine and I will feed Belle.

She's tiny. She's about 8 weeks old and two pounds. And very playful.
Congratulations on your new family member! :)My oldest dd is begging for a new kitten. She keeps showing us kitten videos. No way though. We already have the 3 cats and 3 dogs. One cat is super attached to her too. We are lucky all the pets get all really well too. No need to possibly muck up the harmony. ;)

We went to the zoo today. They have a new area called the Mangrove that has Butterflies, Manatees, and Turtles. DD really wanted to see the Butterflies, so we decided to put our annual passes to good use. I was a bit nervous because I heard on the radio earlier in the week that butterflies had escaped and I didn't know how many, or if they were recovered. But it was fantastic. We walked in and I went to point out a butterfly sitting on a leaf to DD when another one landed right on my outstretched finger. DD was jealous because she's always wanted a butterfly to land on her. DH took a picture, but it's on his phone and I asked him to send it to me, but he hasn't yet. We walked on and there was a guy who had several sitting on him...both kids embarked on a mission to get butterflies to land on them. DS had one, but I wasn't quick enough to get a picture and he was very upset. They sat on some rocks and were very still for a bit.

We moved on to the part with the glass wall where you could watch the manatees and fish, and we sat on these little steps there and 2 butterflies came and landed, one on each shoulder....another picture DH has on his phone. DS was angry because one of the blue ones had landed on everyone but him. They were not attracted to his white shirt...they LOVED my sea green shirt, and DD was in the same color. As we were walking off, one of the bigger blue ones came and landed on my shirt and would not leave. We were wanting to leave the area to go see the new Mangrove Musical, but I tried walking and it just clung to my shirt...I tried shaking the shirt...he held on. I finally had to get help from one of the people who works there, and she got it off the front...it flew off and landed promptly on my behind. So she got her paper and scraped him off me again. Dobby was a free elf! We should have just stayed in the mangrove...the musical was pretty bad. It was great for little ones....it was a blacklight thing, so really bright colors, which kids love, and it was cheesy, but the singing was just...not good. I've heard worse, but never in a professional performance like that. But at least we got to see the butterflies, and before we went there, we made a side trip to the dessert area to see the owls (burrowing owls....didn't know they existed) and the bighorn sheep. So all in all, it was a great time.
Your kids are cute!! The butterfly shots are so cool!:) About a tr? I am not sure. I got so annoyed so many times because of things, that I didn't take as many pictures.:banghead::banghead: I still have a day to finish on my last tr.

@Gabe1 Hope things are better by you. I remember hearing about the whether when we were away and wondering how you were fairing. We had a massive downpour yesterday. Fastest winds I can ever remember seeing. One tree in our backyard, a tree we were wanting to cut down because it is actually 2 trees growing into one, got snapped in half. It isn't near the house and is the only tree in the far left of the yard. Amazingly enough, these 2 dead trees in the neighbors yard behind our house didn't budge. Go figure. Dh said that by his office there was 4 inches of rain from the storm. We have a little kiddie pool outside that was empty. It has 2 inches of water in it now. Luckily we live on the top of a hill so never worry about flooding unless it is from an internal pipe or water heater, which has happened.
