My DH has brown eyes, mine are blue, my kids both have blue.
My dad has brown hazel eyes, my mom has grey eyes, both me and my brother have the brown hazel eyes. My mom describes them as beer colored. Both of us also started out with grey eyes for the first six months of our lives, then they changed to brown. Doctor told my mom when my brother was six months old, "Oh, his eye color is probably set." She told him, "Don't count on it." Sure enough, his eyes changed color like mine did.

My dad just noticed when we were in WDW in January that my brother and I have the same color eyes. When he said something about us having the same eyes, I said, "That's great Dad. It's only taken you 13 years to notice that we have the same eyes."

please explain why learning english sign language would help me to travel internationally?
I would have way better luck finding someone who just speaks spanish.
Still no idea what this has to do since we're talking about phone service, not face to face.
If I was face to face, I can just write in english if I fail to understand the other person.,

Sign language is pretty international. There are signs for a bus. It isn't like you are signing international letters or words it is a symbol for specific things. A bus is a bus, a restroom is a restroom no matter what language. What I've learned is you can either fight the world or learn to adapt to it and meet it half way. Like I suggested ask for a Spanish speaking CM when the chips are down and possibly ask your Mom to convey what the problems are before travel. But considering you will likely continue to return to Disney I would push the envelope with Disney to get the services they offer to Americans to other countries. That is on Disney and the squeaky wheel makes changes. Someone has to be the first advocate. Me, I got all board rooms to have microphones and a sound system in our town and they do have signing available upon request. Disney has a slow learning curve, in this decade alone they have been brought to court many times over ADA for all sorts of disability concerns. They do comply when they are genuinely wrong. Unfortunately in many cases it takes some effort.

Been there. DH been there. Walt is playing nice tonight. DH is on his side of the twin equivalent snoring loudly. I'm on my side trying to hear TV 3 feet from me and Walt he is in the middle of the twin halves burying his head in my pillows trying to shelter himself from the snoring.

I've noted I caught up on a page and fell yet another page behind. Oy.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
American sign Language. Not English sign language. I think she also meant the US, not just to any country.

Just a question, but how come you never learned any kind of sign language?
I think he answered this the other day. He was not born deaf, but became deaf (I forget why) around the age of 11; by which time, he could already speak, read and write.

My morning so far:
  • Nearly slipped on ice going out to my car
  • Could not get the ice off my windshield, ended up having to take my mom's car
  • Nearly slipped into another car when parking because of ice on the parking lot
  • Nearly fell on ice on the way into school
  • Ran 10 minutes late to class (professor was okay with that because she ran late too. And she nearly slipped on ice)
It's just going to be one of THOSE days, isn't it?
I'm sorry. I'm going to send good vibes your way for a better day today.

I have a phobia when it comes to spiders because I started to get very anxious looking at those spider pics.

I got bit by a spider at Magic Kingdom. We were leaning against the fence by the Riverboat when I felt a pinch. At the time I thought it was the bushes poking my leg. Of course this 3 a.m. EMH and I saw the bump when we got back to our room at 3:30. The next morning we went to AK First Aid and they gave me a benedryl cream and it cleared up in a few days.
I'm always nervous when I travel because I'm not sure what poisonous spiders and snakes are indigenous to the area. Speaking of spiders, have any of you seen the spider on WDW property that has a skull image on its back?

My daughter fell on ice on the way to the bus this morning. Her feet came out from under her and she landed on her back. She's got a bruise the size of a spaghetti box on her back from the books in her backpack. Yup, I'm sooo over this winter wonderland carp.
I'm sorry. Is she ok? And @donaldtoo, do we dare tell them about the weather we have been enjo- I mean having?
