That's my favourite part!
Rose is reunited (presumably because she too has died) with everyone who died that fateful night.
It adheres very closely to my own personal belief in a "Heavenly welcoming committee".
It kind of bothered me because she got married and had a family and all and then it almost seemed like her husband didn't matter, that all who mattered were on the ship

I don't know. Just wasn't crazy about all of it. It's a well-done movie, but it's not my favorite.

Happy Birthday, MinnieM.
I hope you have a lovely day - shovelling, making snow angels, catching snowflakes on your tongue ... and other icky winter stuff. <3

Thank you for the kind words! And, I did do some other icky winter stuff--I walked down to the center of my area to see what condition the roads were in, if businesses were open, etc. A 10-minute walk took me 20 today, because of maneuvering around snow piles, dodging snow plows coming up the street, etc. It was fun.

Also, our landlord came by and shoveled the snow off the flat portion of the back roof and he was out there hammering away at the ice that had built up as well. He also had a snow blower and was able to plow through a huge portion of the driveway that we couldn't finish, with just our one shovel. He's a nice guy, too, and we liked talking to him. :)

We put off celebrating my birthday dinner until Monday, which is a holiday (Presidents Day). That's o.k. though, as it's an excuse to drag out my birthday celebration! ;)

My daughter fell on ice on the way to the bus this morning. Her feet came out from under her and she landed on her back. She's got a bruise the size of a spaghetti box on her back from the books in her backpack. Yup, I'm sooo over this winter wonderland carp.

Oh no. I hope she'll be o.k. I've lost count through the years, about how many times I've fallen on ice, too. Landed front, back, and sideways--done it all. Luckily, I walked away from all those mishaps without serious injuries.

Diet Update:
This week, I weighed in a day early - so 6 days vs 7 - down 3.4 lbs
Plus - previous 2 weeks - 10.4 lbs
Equals 13.8 lbs (in 20 days)

Another 2 weeks, and I should fit into my "fat" work slacks.

Today however, I am tired and cranky. And cold.

Kudos to you on your diet. That's a lot of weight you've lost already. You're an inspiration to us all! :)

So, the Yeti is alive!! He may not be at Expedition Everest anymore, but he has been spotted in and around the city of Boston during the snowstorms!!

He brings goodwill and wants people to be safe in the snowstorms. Link below to the CBS news story about him (The still shots under the video are funny, too--especially when he tries to hail a cab!! :p ):

Great. Nine pages behind now. At the rate I'm going @Cesar R M will be back in Mexico before I catch up.

Board meeting real bad tonight. :( So depressing to have someone wanting to cry through her screaming at the board for 45 minutes. Sadly I had such empathy for her. Nobody is listening through the high pitched yelling. This is how people crack and violence happens. Nobody knew how to wrap it up. Wine please.

I agree. Jambo is much nicer.

Have fun! Enjoy yourself. :)
my report so far:

I am surprised on DVC. There was a representative waiting for me when I arrived on the disney magicsal express.
knew all information.
Registration was a breeze.
Got my colored magicbands. but first issue.Concierge could not fix the Ohana reservation.
They still reasured I would not get charged.

So, unpacked and decided to go to eat something. So I headed to Magic Kingdom.
Despite everyone having cold clothes, the bus drivers insist in putting the AC unit at max power.. we were asll shivering and at 5 celsius or less... the driver of course didnt mind, she was wearing a jacket for snow lol.

Magic Kingdom was packed, I still felt very sad how many things are under construction. Theres even a big area infront of The Emporium that is covered in tarps and being remodeled.
The Hub is awful!. walls everywhere.. nightmare and I skipped that area all the day.

They were advancing in the planters too.

I managed also to snatch a few fastpass. I used one for its a small world. cute but some of the dolls looks creepy. As some of them do not have their eyes working properly.
Also, Peter pan was 80+minutes all the day.
I went and ate at columbia harbor. not bad.. it was packed.
service was superfast...

then I went to walk around and see things I missed before, like the circus area and the parts that were unfinished by september 2013. (new fantasyland)

funny thing.. I abused of my magic, and it worked pretty fine.
The app still bugged a few times, but restarting it fixed the issues. (displaying error )
but all my changes and fastpass settings functioned.

then I went to the hounted mansion.. best attraction imho.
then decided to change my last fastpass from splash mountain *(wass cold here).. to winnie the pooh, which was both mediocre and hilariously trippy.
Also weird that we were sa line of almost pure males in the line for winnie the pooh. all of us above 25 years lol.

After this, I went running to get to Ohana via a boat.
I managed to arrive in time.. but problem..
the guy in the reception was very old and lacked computer comprehension. he could not find my information.
It didnt help that my WDW app decided to logout by itself and I had forgotten my password.
So I stepped a bit away, resetted my password, got my information in the wdw app.
and still the guy could not find the reservation.
I had to spell the number because it was HIM who couldnt write the proper number.
the reservation was there.
sadly.. by the time I got in, wishes was on full glory, I managed to catch both a part of wishes AND the water pageant.

The good of Ohana, good food, unlimited, delicious wings and chicken.
the bad: my table was right by the entrance to the kitchens. and very far far away from the windows.
they also gave me 3 slices of meat all RAW.. the fourth was so so, at least it wasnt mooing.

pid my bill and left for the hotel via monoriel then via bus.

also no idea why I cannot upload images.

That is actually normal.

I rarely see it go under an hour.
then decided to change my last fastpass from splash mountain *(wass cold here
For future reference, they turn the water pressure and the water cannons off when it gets chillier. So you would not have gotten wet.

speaking of stuff.. the WDW email support are being completely idiots.

I told them that I'm deaf.. TWICE.
yet they are again and again sending me to CALL WDW DINE phone address, to change the reservation of my dinner... infuriating..

I hope I dont get charged the "4 missing" people from my reservation.

Disney needs to get their special services connected to the international world. They have it in place for Americans because of our ADA here, where it doesn't apply internationally with their phone and chat services.

And on the flip side...as a person that is also hearing impaired you are your own best advocate. Proactively we must advocate for ourselves. An email to higher ups in the Disney Corp explaining the deficiencies to internationals with disabilities shortfalls is critical. Seriously they likely don't get it, tech wise Disney has always been lagging so far behind the world. Disney is has many CMs that are certified in Sign Language which is pretty universal. They must test out to be certified. It might be something to consider learning yourself if you plan to continue to travel internationally. Also if you lip read in Spanish, they will connect you with a Spanish CM if you are encountering any problems at Disney during your vacation.

DWifey's natural hair color is brown and mine is (was ;)) blond. Her eyes are blue and mine are brown with green around the iris. All 3 kiddos have naturally blondish-brown hair. Oldest DD has her mothers blue eyes, DS has green eyes and Youngest DD has my eyes. :)

My DH has brown eyes, mine are blue, my kids both have blue.

When my son was born one of the first things I did was peel his eye lids back to see if he was cross eyed, as I had been till they fixed that. I had bigger fish to fry when my DD was born cause they hauled her off to the NIC unit when she was born before I got to hold her. 2 days later I pulled her eye lids back too. My FIL and my BIL were also both born cross eyed so genetics said my kids should have been being on both sides of the parental genes. Dodged that bullet.

please explain why learning english sign language would help me to travel internationally?
I would have way better luck finding someone who just speaks spanish.
Still no idea what this has to do since we're talking about phone service, not face to face.
If I was face to face, I can just write in english if I fail to understand the other person.,

I definitively do not want to get wet. Regardless if its chillier or not.
any tips?
This time of year, they will probably not have the cannons on. I went on it last January, and it was in the 70s, but the cannons were all off. Back row tends to stay drier, so ask for the back. You can also stand on the bridge and watch the boats coming down to make sure that the cannons are turned off.

And then there is always the cheater method: the poncho.

I don't like getting wet either, so I don't blame you. But it's so nicely done that you have to see it.

American sign Language. Not English sign language. I think she also meant the US, not just to any country.

Just a question, but how come you never learned any kind of sign language?
