I have still to get an answer to the question... why? It's been said by many, but, none of the answers have ever made any sense to me. Give it a try. Worrying about clones makes absolutely no sense to me at all. I, for example, would love to see Carsland, but, you can bet your bottom dollar that I will not go to California just to see it. I'd like to be able to see it over here on the other side of the country. It makes no sense to me, why I cannot.
unlike carsland which is awesome and is a full land, Tron coaster doesnt seem to be THAT good.. nowhere near close.

Perhaps you, you need to understand that people go worldwide to go to these parks, its not a US thing.

Poor Belle has started over grooming her paws now. She's pulled off the callouses and now has bright red spots on her paw pads. Which of course then makes her not want to use her litter box. So she's now back on her anxiety supplements.

She then got mad at me and my mom for examining her paws, so she actually went over and laid on the ottoman where my dad had his feet. And the man who says he doesn't like cats did not make her move and accepted that he got 1/8 of the ottoman for his feet while she got the rest. Like a good softie.:hilarious:

Poor her. I've had good luck with bitter apple spray to discourage the necrotic over grooming. She is really out of sorts. {{{HUGS}}}

I'm wishy washie on Tron. I had so many great times in Disney with my kids as young'ns. Great for tweens and teens and another ax for young families.
Replacing more and more with height restrictions. We would not have bonded with Disney way back when if it wasn't for the Motion, Horizons, and the various dark rides that my little kids could be included in. I understand they are trying to compete with the mass upgrades Uni has done in the last decade but I feel they are loosing site of the young families and the AARPs that are the loyal demographic. Yes this could possible entice the teen and early 20 demographic but loose the young to Lego and Seaworld. They seem to be grasping.

I see this with my Mom now. My Mom brought me to Disneyland long before WDW was invented frequently. No way in Gods Green Earth is she ever going back again to see that. Whatcha going to do with her mind set??? There is no reasoning or convincing her at her age. She digs her heels in.

The Tower is my example. I really find it to be an extraordinary wonderful attraction at the studios. Now Cali is branding theirs with an IP. Wildly popular in Florida, not so much in Cali. Me, I'd rather not have that clone. What goes over well in one demographic, state or country doesn't necessarily go over well in other areas.

Disneyland seems to also hold close their traditions where Florida tends to dump traditional icon attractions in favor of meet and greets.

Tokyo is another issue. They demand and get the cutting edge attractions that once were the norm in the states. They tend to get that with their owners.

A break in the monsoon. I don't sleep well with this stuff when it starts before I fall asleep. I step outside and take a quick walk that I didn't get earlier. Still outside, nobody about besides the twits driving as quickly as they can through the flooded roads.

I look at the river, it obviously has spilled. I hit town square. The river has spilled well over the banks. I giggle as I see the sprinkler system watering the under water grass. Tech isn't there yet. :joyfull:  :banghead:

I feel the same way. I rarely ride it, but the ride is always packed. When I do go on, I have a good time. I know that kids like it because they can actually "drive" which is a big thing for them. But a Tron coaster would be pretty cool. Why can't Disney just add some attractions sometimes instead of adding one and taking one away at the same time? That was one of my peeves with the Fantasyland expansion, I felt they could have redesigned Snow White's ride, if they didn't want 2 attractions from the same movie although Disneyland and Disneyland Paris have 2 Alice themed attractions next to each other. But what did they do, they axed it and made a Princess meet and greet, something that could have been built elsewhere.....

Although with the speedway, since that takes up so much space, they probably need the space for something like a coaster.

I can't do coasters, so I'd hate for them to take away a ride that is for all ages and replace it with something not everyone can do. With the speedway, even if kids aren't big enough to drive themselves, they can still do the ride. Speedway was kind of a Godsend for us last Summer. DS was being a pill and didn't want to do anything DD wanted to do, so we split up and DD and I went to CoP while DH took DS to TS. Then when we got out, we met up and they went back 2 more times to Speedway because they loved it so much. It completely turned DS's attitude around. He had been complaining non-stop about everything and suddenly he was just excited about it all and having a blast. Then suddenly the line got really long, so we moved on, but they did it like 3 times in an hour before it started to get busy.

Hi everyone, I spent yesterday sleeping. I think I'm caught up on sleep. I've got to do some serious catching up to do. I hope everyone is having a great day. Mine is going well too. We may get a thunderstorm with rain, here's hoping...we need rain badly!
I'll send some your way...it's raining every day here except Thursday...my one day off. :cautious: No riding my bike to work.

We've been to 'Ohana 3 times. The last time being in June of '13, and both the food and service were excellent all 3 times, with the exception of one dry-ish skewer of chicken on our second trip. Have always loved the apps and sides too, especially the potstickers...! :hungry:
And, of course, the bread pudding for dessert (although, I only ever have enough room left for 2-3 bites)...! :hungry:
That all being said, our last time dining there was 4+ years ago, sooo...

I think 2013 was our last great/good meal there too. This last visit was just fine.

Good morning! Hubs and I are at the airport waiting for our California flight. I hope everyone has a great day!

I'm so jelly!!! Have a great trip. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on D23. Hope you've "reserved?" certain meetings there to attend (I think they have capacity rules in certain events, etc.).

Also, it can be hot waiting in line to get in the building (from what I read last year), so please take some bottled water with you, if you get stuck waiting in line outdoors, to get into the building.

Thanks Minnie. We do have a game plan and a plan b. There is so much to do but there are only two absolute must dos for me. A Pirates presentation on Friday afternoon and the Sunday imagineering panel lead by John stamos and I would wait all day if I have to for that one.
