The hate comes from those that left their inner child behind. I haven't ridden it in 30 years, but, I love seeing the smiles on the faces of the small kids, getting to experience driving for the first time. Please don't take away the joy of childhood from them just because we are all grown up now. To me it simply epitomizes the "it's all about me" attitude that has taken over this country.
There are a few things my boys have long since grown out of, that being one. That being said that has nothing to do with my love/hate for it. The hate is due to the stink:hungover::hungover::hungover: Now if they got electric cars I'd be much more upset about the change.

101 ounces of homemade creamy garlic dressings. So am not calculating the fat count.

I can if you wish
about 9 1/2 grams per tbsp

Then most likely around 7

It took me years and years to perfect my creamy garlic dressing my Mom use to buy from the refrigerated section of the grocery store and also a few fine dining restaurants we use to go to. Retrospect they probably purchased in bulk what my Mom bought from the refrigerator section. Dear Lord it was good. Now all they have is roasted garlic and I don't care for that.

I make this dressing once or twice a year sometimes. I smear it on my fresh real tomatoes. OMG so good. I have fans of my dressing the majority of 101 ounces will be given away or I'd find a way to consume it all *oink*

^^^^This. I'm hoping for Ratatouille and leaving the rest of France alone and putting something decent and educational in Innoventions.

Right now IMO the Festivals are and hard ticket events at Epcot are the only things that are consistently revenue builders for the stockholders, I'd expect more hard ticket events and less hours in the parks for general guests. Don't like it but that is the trend I'm seeing.

I hope for the same with France. Innoventions I wouldn't be surprised if they bulldozed both East and West eventually. With Siemens walking away from the new business model of Disney's I have little hope for the iconic monorails in the future.

Could be that is part of the problem. I grew up with exhaust. Car, truck and bus! When I finally changed professions in my 50's and got involved with diesel buses the smell of the exhaust was like a pacifier to me. To me it is compared with the smell of popcorn that people enjoy, which by the way I think stinks. So it is all in how we feel about external stimuli. I feel that we shouldn't prevent kids from having a childhood that they will remember because we think the smell is unpleasant, I don't think of that as a legitimate reason.

That said, I wouldn't object to going to electric as long as the sounds can remain realistic sounding. I don't think that would take away from a kids experience. I really don't want to see it go because "grown ups" don't like it. The odor, no matter how offensive to us, will not do any long term harm to any of us, but, might just place a very happy memory in the hearts and minds of our children. The argument, although valid, that it is creating pollution is bogus. If you were to tell adults that they cannot go to WDW because the pollution foot print that they leave in the atmosphere is bad for us, so they must find a different way of getting there, what does everyone think the reaction would be? Compared to the emissions that we generated just to get to the parks the Speedway is almost an exercise in clean air.

My aunt ended up deciding to keep her cat. But...I'm thinking we're going to get a kitten. Belle basically stopped eating while I was away, and the other day, she decided to tell me she wasn't getting enough attention by pooping on my bedroom floor. So...she needs a buddy. I called the shelter to ask what animals they had available, and they're going to have some really young kittens available possibly next week. And all-black or tuxedos, which is what I would want. So...yup. The plan to get another cat stands.
Yayyy for kitties!! When we finally decide to get another cat, I may get two so they can keep each other company. :cat:

I feel the same way. I rarely ride it, but the ride is always packed. When I do go on, I have a good time. I know that kids like it because they can actually "drive" which is a big thing for them. But a Tron coaster would be pretty cool. Why can't Disney just add some attractions sometimes instead of adding one and taking one away at the same time? That was one of my peeves with the Fantasyland expansion, I felt they could have redesigned Snow White's ride, if they didn't want 2 attractions from the same movie although Disneyland and Disneyland Paris have 2 Alice themed attractions next to each other. But what did they do, they axed it and made a Princess meet and greet, something that could have been built elsewhere.....

Although with the speedway, since that takes up so much space, they probably need the space for something like a coaster.
I'm still bitter about losing Snow White. :grumpy:

Hi everyone, I spent yesterday sleeping. I think I'm caught up on sleep. I've got to do some serious catching up to do. I hope everyone is having a great day. Mine is going well too. We may get a thunderstorm with rain, here's hoping...we need rain badly!
Kokomo got 6 1/2 inches of rain and 2 tornado warnings yesterday. My daughter called me twice to say she was in grandma's basement. :( Everything turned okay but flooding.
