Okay, seriously, how stupid are people?

I emailed a supervisor today, as I do every other Friday, reminding him to approve the timesheets for his resources. He hadn't done them. He emailed me back that there's a mistake and he had already approved them all.

I went into our timekeeping software. He approved them two minutes before he sent that email.

So 1. How stupid is it to lie to me like that instead of just saying "Sorry, I've approved them now" and 2. How stupid does he think I am that I'm not going to pick up on that?

I hate people.

I always thought the hemorrhage in the brain was the definition of stroke or at least one of the definitions. Come to think of it, in the brain, there isn't a lot of difference between a stroke and a aneurysm. Both are a weakening and rupture of a blood vessel. Or maybe an aneurysm is the bubbling out (expansion at the weak point) and the stroke is the rupture. One of the many reasons why I am not a doctor and I do not play one on TV.
My understanding is that a stroke is caused by a blood clot, an aneurysm is the ballooning of the vessel, and a hemorrhage is a leak. A hemorrhage mimics the symptoms of a stroke, but is not a stroke.

Sort of the same way DAK is not a zoo! Just kidding, yes I do see the difference, but, neither are far off. Both create a lack of oxygen to vital parts of the brain. Aneurysms are not just in the brain either, but, can affect any artery and most deaths are due to bleed outs.

Yes, my friend's husband died of a burst artery in his stomach area. Bled out so fast she didn't even have time to call an ambulance before he was gone. Scary stuff.

Yup, I've seen that happen before. When people get to my age and used to smoke, they do MRI's looking for them. Not sure why smoking could make a difference, but, apparently it does.

EGO probably? or.. unable to accept mistakes? who knows.. but that reminds me of the silly "the check is on the mail!" excuse when people missed payments.

Maybe he didn't see your email until after he approved them? o_O
