It's currently 99 degrees here with a heat index of 108.
In one neighborhood in Southeast Austin it's currently107 with a heat index of 120. BRRRRR for us up here in Northwest Austin...! :cold: ;)
Now we're talkin' good ol' summer temps...!!! :)

I just can't like this!!! :depressed:

Rant: It's 7:45 AM and I only got up about 30 minutes ago. This is LATE for me. Why did I get up late? Freaking summer, that's why!

Last night the power went out from summer storms, at about 11:45 PM. Woke up because the a/c kicked off--got up around 12:15 AM to report outage to the power company. Couldn't sleep in the heat upstairs here, nor could hubs or Jack (poor dog, he was panting---he hates summer, too).

Power went back on around 1:45 and stayed on for 30 minutes. Then, off AGAIN . . .

Finally, power came on at 3:40 AM and once the a/c kicked in, I finally got some sleep.

Please, bring on WINTER!!!! :inlove:

Yea, I have no clue what the BOH would hafta' do with it, as they weren't diseased or anything, and not even remotely close to near a water supply, etc.
Maybe our property rights are different here in our part of Texas...?
They were all in, at least, heavy duty plastic bags. And, dear Indy was in a really heavy duty body bag from the Vet. I dug the holes very (through all the fun limestone stones and fragments ) each time very thoroughly, and deep, and they were buried along our northwest fenceline. When someone in the future, after we're long gone, comes in here and decides to maybe put a pool in, they will never have a clue...they're all so close to the fenceline.

Unless...
"Poltergeist: Pup Burialground" :D ;)

My hunch is that not all people are as careful as you were. Therefore, as usual, some ordinance has to be passed to apply to everyone. Typical . . . ;)

I feel that. We had a lot of days in the upper 80s/low 90s and almost two weeks without rain. Then yesterday the heavens opened and rained all day. Not ready for winter but some days in the 70s would be good.

Happy farm market Saturday:joyfull: I won't be buying lettuce this week because I have enough of my own:joyfull: What I won't be spending on that I'll be spending on eggs, I'm out and it's summer vacation:greedy::greedy::greedy::greedy::greedy::greedy:

There is a farmer's market not too far from where i live. Went there last Saturday, but they didn't have hardly any veggies?? o_O They had some berries, but that was about it. There were a number of tables with bread products, jams, etc. I'm thinking that maybe MA's growing season for tomatoes, etc., doesn't really peak until closer to August. Sigh . . .:cautious:

Okay, seriously, how stupid are people?

I emailed a supervisor today, as I do every other Friday, reminding him to approve the timesheets for his resources. He hadn't done them. He emailed me back that there's a mistake and he had already approved them all.

I went into our timekeeping software. He approved them two minutes before he sent that email.

So 1. How stupid is it to lie to me like that instead of just saying "Sorry, I've approved them now" and 2. How stupid does he think I am that I'm not going to pick up on that?

I hate people.

Welcome to the working world

I saw some at Wegmans yesterday. $6 for four. If I weren't about ready to leave, I would have gotten them.

I don't have Wegman's near me. I heard they are good though. I'm waiting for the day RI changes it's backwards law that you can't buy alcohol in a supermarket. I want a Market Basket (regional chain) too nearest one is 30 minutes away.

There is an Amazon though (sorry, Whole Paycheck Foods)

We have a Wegmans right across the street from work. Sometimes I go there if I can't find something at my grocery store.
