Chuy's was awesome as per usual...!!! :hungry:
Just DWifey and myself tonight, as all the kiddos were busy. So, we ended up going to the location only about 5 mins. from home...! :)

A short wait outside, and more Chuy's-mosphere...! ;)

A big thank you to you both. I just touched down in Seattle, so the trip is still happening. My grandma did break her hip, and will have to go into surgery tomorrow. She lives alone, but most of the family lives within a mile of her (my aunt actually lives on the same street). I'm just worried that this happened because she was trying to feed my dog or something.

Oh My! Prayers for Grandma.

Not unless the 3-D printer can produce high quality chrome plated metal...I don't know if that's available now, or how much it would cost if it was. And, even then, someone would probably just yank it and make off with it. :bored:
Plus, I'm thinkin' it would be a "bit" more expensive than what I'd want to pay to put it on my present basic transportation. :cyclops:
Antenna toppers work for me for now...! :)
Technically.. You can print the mold and then make the thing with cast metal

My nuns favored those long wooden pointer sticks. I only got whacked once. I vaguely remember something about daydreaming, I was six. She use to pace up and down the rows of desks. She came up from behind me and walloped me in the back of my skull with the stick, very hard.

My father had a conversation with the Nun and she said it doesn't hurt much. My Dad picked up the pointer stick and asked her to turn around and he'd take a swing with the stick to the back of her head. Guess she opted out of the 'hurt' test. Didn't stop her from taking swings at kids but she never swung that stick at me again.
I escaped Catholic school only because our local schools were so highly rated that my parents couldn't afford both catholic school and extra courses in STEM:joyfull::joyfull::joyfull: but I did have to go to CCD which wasn't so bad because it was on Sunday morning instead of after school like the next parish over. I never got hit but one kid in my year seemed to get whacked at least twice a month for talking back and swearing, hitting was no longer allowed after 3rd grade where I lived, he spent many days in the hall after that.

Hey, I got out 1 1/2 hours early today too!! I'm hoping this will be a "thing" on Fridays--but I"m not getting up my hopes completely just yet . . . bosses can be moody, you know . . :cautious:
I hope it does happen for you. Keeping my fingers crossed. Just curious does getting out early lessen your Friday commute time. Around here Fridays are insane after 3:30.

Thank you. She'll be in the hospital for another couple days, and then will have to spend 4-6 weeks in a nursing home to receive physical therapy.

After that type of surgery, there is a long period of PT that follows. But people get through it, regardless of age. (I've known a few people that had that surgery.) As long as she keeps a positive spirit through all this, she'll be much better off after all is said and done. I wish her well.
