:D Ha! Well here's the truth, about why I won't get a camera or smart phone. When I was about 7 years old, one of my brothers had a small Kodak camera. He told me to smile and he took my picture. Then he tried to take other pictures, but the camera was broken. He said my face broke his camera. :bawling: So, ever since then, I've had a complex about people taking my picture and I avoid, like the plague, anyone who tries to take pictures of me! :jawdrop:  :hilarious:

How could this face EVER break a camera?!

We have a wood burning fireplace in our family room. I tend to sit right on the hearth when I'm cold.

I love fireplaces and always wanted one. My fantasy dream home would be a cozy log cabin with a nice fireplace. Then, I could also invite the animals outside to come in and get warm. (Well, except maybe for moose and bears, because they're too big for the log cabin.) ;)

We hang out together sometimes, so maybe I've picked up on some of her interests. o_O Then again, I've always loved animals. :inlove: Right now, my dog is sleeping next to me. Although, he'll wait up in a flash once I walk downstairs to put dog food in his bowl!
I love that you get up so early even on your days off. There is a stillness and freshness that comes with the early morning that I just love.

Are you working now on a very early morning shift? I figure you're about 3 hours behind East Coast, right?

Yes, about early mornings--nothing like them!!! :) I try to convince everyone I know that getting up early is just so much fun. Not everyone agrees with me, though. Sometimes, only my dog understands me . . .

No I'm still at work from the graveyard shift. I'm two hours behind you, mountain time. It's now 5 here.
Yes getting up isn't very much fun but, once you are up, the peacefulness of the early morning is very nice. But maybe that's because everyone is still asleep!

If she dies in Africa, she will be buried there.

Right now, she is accomplishing very little, and only because she has two young people on their first mission trip staying with her. When Chloe and Sean leave in 6 weeks, she will be on her own.

The conditions in her village have seriously deteriorated in the past 6 months. Nobody has running water right now, and she has to pay someone to fetch her 3 jugs every day from the central depot.
She had an invasion of army ants (think IJ/Crystal Skull) and they had to pour kerosene all around the perimetre of the home, and set it ablaze. You know, 'cause burning kerosene is so good for the breathing-impaired.

Things just aren't going well this trip. Customs refuses to clear our food container. The longer they stall, the more food expires, the less likely it will ever be cleared!
It just may be God's way of telling her to turn the work over to a younger, more well-funded group. And maybe she just doesn't want to hear.

Not sure. Also, not my mother.
My mother, her sister, chose not to deal with her own serious medical condition, and died within 5 hours, at the ripe old age of 62.

Sympathy "like" on all of this.
Prayers to her and all others involved in noble causes such as this, all over the world.
