I did enjoy the food court there but the hotel did seem a bit hectic to me.

When we stayed there in July of '12, it wasn't too hectic...but, then again, the only 2 sections that were open were Nemo and Cars. ;)
We stayed in a Cars family suite, and that section had only been open about 3 weeks before we stayed there, but, with all sections open I can see where it could be pretty crazy at times.
Tried to stay there again in June of '13, but, they had CM blackout dates for when we were going, so we opted for my 60% discount at ASMusic instead. :)

It's funny, even I haven't written in cursive (other than my chicken-scratch signature) in decades. I'll just blame it on drafting class were we learned to write in nothin' but all cap block letters to label and note everything. :cyclops:
Back in the day, it was with a chisel-pointed mechanical pencil lead on CDs (construction documents). For many years now, the CDs have all been done in CAD with a standard font. But, we still label and note our preliminary presentation sketches in freehand ink block letters.
Cursive is, indeed, a fading art.
I write almost exclusively in cursive which may be a good thing because both my boys can at least read cursive. James can write in it but not to my satisfaction, not that his printing is leaps and bounds better:cautious::banghead:

I have mixed emotions about Disney Springs. We went twice and I'm not overly impressed with the high end shopping district built. It was interesting to walk through but I have no business buying a $150 t-shirt. Nor do I want to. The newer area brought some nice QS and a few TS that we may eat at someday. Still we spent two half days there and when it came down to it I would have rather been in the parks or at the pool. I didn't buy lots but most came from the parks or the old marketplace area. And yes I am sure many of the older restaurants are hurting, it is a long walk. I saw this yesterday afternoon on twitter from a nice man who lives in the area. Mind you it was a Saturday afternoon at Earl!!! Normally this is filled with guests and out the door just to order.

The only thing I liked about the new DTD design was the addition of a few new food and beverage places and for some reason walking from one end to the other seemed to have more of a flow.

Monday was always my favorite day of the week when the kids were in school, and my husband went to work. I loved the peace and quiet. Monday was usually the day when I could start a new project, or catch up on something that needed doing after a hectic weekend with the rest of the family. I still like Mondays the best.
^^^This!!!! This year more than ever with having even more hectic weekends now:banghead: Not to mention having to be somewhat quiet during the day:brb:

I don't know about the bus shuffle for Typhoon, but I remember that the Swolphin had nice pools especially the one with the waterfall. I forgot did you stay at the Swan or the dolphin ?

I was at the Swan. I like the quiet, lap pool at the Swan. The pool you referred to is the Grotto Pool, which is really fun if you want to be around a crowd. They have a good slide there, too. That's over in the Dolphin area (the Dolphin also has its own quiet pool). All pools can be used by guests of either hotel.

ATTENTION HOT DOG FANS!!!!!! With Memorial day fast approaching I know some of you are planning on indulging on a few of those, so be warned NATHAN'S has issued a recall for metal in some of their dogs. If you have or plan on getting any please check the site so you stay safe.

I don't even know if those are available in grocery stores around here, but, I don't ever remember seeing them...:cyclops:
Thanks for the heads up though...! :)

I came back at 1130 last night. Do I have to go back to the real world?

I know it's impossible for Disney to control but guests have to not throw trash wherever they feel like it....ie rides and in small rivers.

Epcot is still my favorite park even though there is not a lot of rides and Frozen came to Norway, which I didn't go on.

MK fireworks - I know it's new but Disney has done crowd control good before. Speaking which rides like Haunted Mansion, I don't like how it dumps you from the to go to a single line. Pool was great to escape the heat.

The real world is a downer. I've had 3 days to decompress here (got home Thursday night), and I can barely stand the thought of going to work in the morning. Ugh.

I didn't notice much trash out of place, but I did see a bottle floating in a stream and shook my head. How far would it be for that person to put it in a trash can--there's plenty of them around. What got to me were all the stupid hair bands at the top of Everest. I've read about this idiocy, and it really detracts from the themeing of the ride.

HM queue didn't bother me. Was there an issue when you went into the single line at the end--were you separated from your group? (There is kind of a bottleneck when it goes into the single line.)

As for the various pools, I agree--great way to escape the heat! :)

My DWifey also has beautiful cursive handwriting. :inlove:
She often groans at my chicken-scratch signature...
The partners at the firm are even worse...we should all just sign with an x...!!! :hilarious: ;) :)

Wow. Thanks for the warning. (I don't think my store carries Nathans, but stores are constantly bringing in new brands, so best to receive the heads up.)

I hate those hair bands on Everest too. I don't see the point and how hard would it be for Disney to take a broom to that area when they do track inspections.

Yea, this one still kinda' blows my mind. First off, why would people do that in the first place? What kind of stooooopid pig "right of passage" is that...?!?!?!
Sorry, but, to me anyway, that's like takin' a carp on Walt.
Yea, maybe a little melodramatic on my part, but, even our local Six Flags park down the road took out a particular "bridge" (decorative) on the flume ride years ago because moron pigs kept sticking gum to it. :bored:

I agree. It is an awesome design and it is pretty. The majority of stores are above and beyond what I spend on clothing and stuff, makes the marketplace Disney Stores look like Discount Stores. Thinking they were targeting the era of Brazilian type of foreign money being dropped. Those days are gone. The food I am very excited about from QS to TS.
