I can't believe that Easter is almost here. Friday is Good Friday, and I have plans to color Easter eggs. The older I get, the faster time flies. I just want it to slow down.

By the way, welcome back! Hubs and I color Easter eggs this coming weekend. He always goes along with it for me, but actually, a lot of his eggs come out better looking than mine!

Why would gold affect you??

Believe it or not it's quite a common problem. 14k gold is not pure gold. I know somebody who can't wear 10k but can wear 18.

Hey, what's with all the hatred for wooden spoons around here? They were a staple in our house as a kid, and I have about 4 of them that I use a lot now for mixing things.

They're great for cooking with but as for eating with them Nails on a chalk board

If you boil eggs with beets and vinegar they make the prettiest pink eggs same goes for onion skins except yellow

Oh, I don't eat with them--they're large mixing wooden spoons. I just use them for mixing only.

Yeah. Real silver. I use to be able to seal insides with nail polish. No longer works. Can't wear gold earrings either

What about surgical steel, some of the new designs are nice same for titanium. There's always platinum I guess I'm lucky I can throw costume in my ears, even in my cartilage hole. Food is something I have to watch

Figgy, you're the only one I know that would always have beets "on hand"!! I think I bought a beet about 10 years ago.

I finally put the menu together for Sunday. Salad with a choice of homemade honey mustard or ranch dressing(evoo & basalmic for me), asparagus, smoked mac and cheese, baked beans, tangerine rice(TC's couscous recipe), smoked ham, smoked turkey, roast turkey, choice of smoked or baked sweet potatoes, peas, marinated green beans with onions and mushrooms and angle food cake with strawberries. oops almost forgot pickled beets
