Good afternoon @betty rose I hope you had a great weekend!
Remember all of those. I miss phone booths!Wrong to think of School on a Saturday but remember these from days gone bye...film projectors in classrooms?
or a phone booth in a park?
or remember simple family fun before video games?
or the awesome merrygoround of school playgrounds? So fun, so deadly?
Or Doctor Scholls sandals? Wooden wonders that molded to your feet that were messed up by plastic replacements?
Or remember the days before one price cleaners?
Or remember the days when TV was not 24/7/365?
Beautiful, they are so graceful.I know you've seen our swans before, they're not spring chickens, but a right of passage when they return to our lake each spring from their winter dorm rooms. Always so happy for a few weeks before they go back to their mean ornery selves.
Happy belated birthday. I hope you got your birthday wish (nice, warm weather)! As of 20 minutes ago our forecast for tomorrow is also 71, a drop of 5 degrees forecasted for tomorrow. I'll take it. My last 2 Birthdays have been nasty cold. My family has an adventure planned for my Birthday tomorrow. A beautiful day would be awesome.
I've had a guardian angle the last two months. We went into the city in February and in March. Both days were unseasonably warm and in the 70's. Rare. If I pull off a third weird warm day tomorrow I'll know someone is looking out for me on my Birthday. So excited.
Denver Int. airport is in Colorado's tornado area.Wow. That updated chart shows a really wide "alley"!!
I forgot about Up, I watched it once....that was enough for me.That and Up always get to me.
We were busy helping the kids pack. Next week, we all celebrate Easter.Good afternoon @betty rose I hope you had a great weekend!
I remember ironing the pillow cases with that iron!Yes to all of the above. My mom even still has one of those old irons.
Thanks. I will go check.Recall Alert!!!! @StarWarsGirl , @betty rose and @93boomer I'm not sure what inhalers you use but Glaxo Smith Kline just recalled 600,000 inhalers. Please check yours
Speaking of Tornados on airports. I suddenly remember the one that was way too close to Dallas Forth Worth's Airport. That lifted entire trailers and train cars.Denver Int. airport is in Colorado's tornado area.
Me too.I really don't like Up. I don't think I've seen it in about four or five years because I really dislike it. I'd rather watch just about any other Pixar movie.
I'm the same way. I only watch movies that don't make me cry. I've never gotten over Old Yeller, and Bambi. And since we are talking about Up, I still haven't made it past the first, what is it, 10 Minutes. It turns me into a big sobbing mess. As a matter of fact the last time I tried to watch it, I decided no more watching things that I know are going to make me cry. Despite many of my peers telling me I have to watch This is Us, I will never watch it. It sounds like all it does is make you cry buckets. No thank you!
We now have recliner's at our local theater. So comfy, if I get bored with a movie, I take a nap just like home....Yea, I've always heard the demise of the classic drive-in movie theater was related to rising land prices and due to all the space the cars took up "inside" the theater.
But, I think it was more a comfort and sound quality thing. Big indoor movie theaters still require land for parking lots for even more patrons they can stuff in them, and, by comfort, I mean things like A/C and heat, and such, and mostly unaffected by weather (and bugs ). Not to mention the cost of those buildings and all the comforts.
I can'y watch Old Yeller. I can handle crying at the beginning of a movie but not the end.I'm the same way. I only watch movies that don't make me cry. I've never gotten over Old Yeller, and Bambi.
She would look so pretty in the Minnie one.I was looking at the shop park app and saw these:

I'm pretty much sold on the black and white one and the Minnie Mouse one for Kapono, but I'm up in the air about the Mickey. People already think she is a boy despite her all pink harness and leash now. They are super cute and I will get 20% off with the ap discount
Thanks for the update on the inhaler's we are good.I can'y watch Old Yeller. I can handle crying at the beginning of a movie but not the end.
So happy for your weather!Ha! that would never fit in my freezer. Ever. Must consume.
And yes today was the Birthday. It was fun but you would have hated it, it was mid 70s and sunny.
Thanks at 70 I draw the line! Then I start over! We get more childlike when we age....I'm ready for it!Happy birthday really early!!!
Same as ours. We don't have mugs.I do live by a Disney Store, and I used to do this. But, now it is more like a little kid toy store. They might have one very small table with a few shirts, and a couple of mugs on the back wall.
