Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
Sending our weather your way, we will be 71. It's nice.

As of 20 minutes ago our forecast for tomorrow is also 71, a drop of 5 degrees forecasted for tomorrow. I'll take it. My last 2 Birthdays have been nasty cold. My family has an adventure planned for my Birthday tomorrow. A beautiful day would be awesome.

I've had a guardian angle the last two months. We went into the city in February and in March. Both days were unseasonably warm and in the 70's. Rare. If I pull off a third weird warm day tomorrow I'll know someone is looking out for me on my Birthday. So excited.

Hope the weather cooperates. Have a very Happy Birthday!

Oh my, especially North Texas can be a real tornado war zone. We usually have many tornado watches/warnings here, in the spring especially.
The exception being those few drought years we had a few years back.
We are pretty much just south of what is traditionally called "tornado alley", although that "alley" has changed over time. The worst I remember around here was back in '97 when a tornado destroyed part of a grocery store and did some pretty bad damage to about a dozen homes, about 5 miles north of us.
Again, it seems the hill effect breaks most of it up before it can get setup in perfect conditions and do major damage.
Check out the difference between the old and new added portions of tornado alley on this map...

Wow. That updated chart shows a really wide "alley"!! :jawdrop:

Birthday-eve was fun. Such a long day before but fun tonight, hopefully tomorrow proves to be even better.

Is today your birthday?! HAPPY BIRTHDAY (if it is . . .) :joyfull: :joyfull:

Here is a cake for you. (If it's not your birthday today, you can freeze it for your actual birthday. Although, you'd have to empty out your freezer first, as it might take up a bit of space.) :p

Yes to all of the above. My mom even still has one of those old irons.

I feel the same way about my geese. First sighting:joyfull: first time getting chased:cautious:
You can have all the geese you could possibly want down here and as a prime example of how animals are sometimes smarter then humans, they stay down here year round. The are a royal PITA. They stop traffic as they casually cross streets and highways. Highway ones don't always fair so well in the making it across alive category. I once had one attack my car when I pulled into a Burger King parking lot that it had apparently claimed as its own. And, of course, they are Canadian, eh!

Yes to all. My mom had a couple of those sandals. They also played the Star Spangled Banner when tv programming started up again.
