Well at least you're not in Ohio, we are getting killed in Illinois with the drifts and wind, so is Ohio. I was texting my Sis who lives in Cleveland and normally on the East side of the Lake she doesn't get pounded. Not the case today. Bet my niece is praying for a snow day.
I know, they are already canceling school in some places. We were supposed to get a bunch of snow originally, but they changed the forecast to rain. Guess my area didn't get that memo....

Yeah, snowing here too. But not much accumulation yet.

They are saying it will change over to sleet/freezing rain overnight and then by 8 am just rain. So schools might go late tomorrow. Not that it would do me any good; I start at 11.

Yeah, this storm has a mind of its own. It is difficult to say how much we got, maybe just under 2 feet but it is the wind and extreme cold that is making it bad. More snow tomorrow night and then Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Only @MinnieM123 would be happy with this. ;)

Carppy weather here too. We've had 21 cm (8"+) since suppertime. More overnight.

I just spent an hour driving in it, picking up various kids from all over the city. Hubby had had a few beers during the game, so he couldn't drive.
We took his car - all wheel drive, and at least he came for the ride.

Everybody all tucked in safe and sound. For now.
Son #2 is supposed to start work at 5:30 tomorrow. I sincerely hope they cancel his trip to Whitby.

Stay safe everybody.

He sounds like a hoot in football mode!
I've got an uncle who's even more fun.

When the Ravens beat the Patriots in 2012, he took a screenshot of Tom Brady's face after the game. He calls it "Definitive proof that Tom Brady is a crybaby."

EDIT: Forgot the best part of that story. After he took the screenshot, he made it his wallpaper.

This is the same uncle that has a version of Star Wars Episode 1 with Jar Jar Binks completely edited out and who gave me Star Wars trading cards as a graduation gift.

Are they out soon?
This month. Alexander comes out on the 10th and I believe Big Hero 6 comes out two weeks later on the 24th.

Amazon is nice because when you preorder, if a lower price comes out between the day you order and the release date, they'll give you the lower price. That's why I just preorder from them. My dad said, "Oh, why don't you just go out and buy them on the release date?" and I said, "Because they are cheap now, they only stay cheap on the release date, and they are both released on Tuesdays. Do I have time on Tuesdays to run to Target or Best Buy and buy a movie?" He said nothing after that.

Today was a happy day for me!
BFF/SIL moved back to town. Instead of being almost an hour away, living with her parents, she is less than five minutes away.

I spent a few hours at her new apartment tonight helping her get the basics done, so they can go to bed, and get up and make brekkie. Tomorrow, we get the rest done.

I am so pleased to have her within arms' reach again.
Shhhh though, she doesn't want my brother to know she's back in town.

A lower price elsewhere or a lower price on Amazon? I usually do pretty well at Target but getting there on Tuesday morning is not usually feasible. At Easter last year they had amazing savings on quality current DVDs. $5-$10 with Frozen being $10. Not bad at all given the popularity.

My DD just got a text to work from home. They built her-her very own laptop, gave her an additional monitor and
*poof* her bedroom is her office. Providing we don't loose power or loose internet-then she'd have to go in.
I hope she can get a proper schedule fixed by her.

I work from home I have to tell you that my job sometimes can be stressful due of the nature of the hours working.

I find freezing rain or ice so much worse than snow.

That is about the only way you are different than my DD. She was certainly a 9am class person. Almost always done by 2pm. I'm up, DH snoring. DD been asleep for several hours already.

She got a text message asking her to go into job #2 early 11 vs 1 so the morning shift manager didn't have to come in, delayed opening of the Rec Center 'till noon, then open 'till 6pm. DH drove her, the 4x drive thing. At 130 they decided to close at 3pm after the kids Bday party scheduled that actually came off. Patrons were angry 1 of the 3 pools were closed because some lifeguards could not get there. :cautious: Swim lessons were cancelled, they took that out on my DD as they could get there why couldn't the teens that teach couldn't. People are crazy. There was a second party scheduled and when my DD offered free rescheduling they thanked her so there are sound mind folk still in existence. She was so tired from the dumb that she went to sleep as the fight ended from the Super Bowl. A good laugh is all she needed.
