I can empathize. I deep cleaned the bathroom last weekend. Deep cleaning like that is something I do only a few times a year. The tiles in the bathtub area were glistening!! :inlove:

So . . . what does hubs decide to do last night? :cautious: He decides to give the dog a bath! :banghead: He hadn't given Jack a bath for weeks, and he decides last night to do this?!

Now, Jack doesn't like getting a bath to begin with, and when he does get one, it's WAR up there in the bathroom, between him and hubs -- and they both create a huge mess, not to mention, make a ton of noise. Water is all over the wet floors, black dog hair in tub, tile walls, and on the towels (yes, hubs uses OUR clean, fluffy towels to dry the DOG . . . Heaven forbid, he uses the older towels that I keep only as a backup, in the linen closet.)

Not such a surprise you had so many nice messages, your a very nice young woman and many of us were concerned as you've never disappeared without a trace before. We had both you and @betty rose missing in the mist so we had that Uh Oh thing a happening.

So happy for a good fit with a new career and that you are hopefully on the mend with new meds. What a February you've had.
To be honest, with being sick and frustrated by the job search, I cut back a lot on my social media time. I felt like I was starting to get into a mode that I tend to get into, which I get honestly, but still work to control, which is where I get into a mode where I just want to argue. It's not a good mood, especially online, so I took a step back and started focusing on hobbies and such until I could get over the cranky spell. Lots of reading, Netflix, video games, some singing when I've been breathing better. I have no desire to upset anyone, and even though I like to argue in some cases, it can get upsetting. Taking a step back from all social media was really important, for my own sanity as well as not to alienate others.

I think we all have those moments of time. Some of us like you say-control it and take a step back. And yeah you are right, there are some that just look for things to argue and disagree about, especially on social media. When life gets too crazy for me anyhow, my time on social media drops. I tend to watch netflix or DVDs at those times and avoid News and other stupidity altogether. But for some their way of coping is lashing out. saw a poor cashier get a lashing in front of customers yesterday for nothing besides her low level coordinator needing to be abusive. I wanted to pinch her real real hard. Be well my friend. :inlove:

No thank you I had a warning Saturday and may have a watch of my own tomorrow:mad::grumpy::banghead:

There are some nasty storms around our neck of the Midwest and suppose to get worse. And promising snow after this cursed warmth dome flees for a few days. When there is a break with a nice warm up it should not include hail and tornado warning. :arghh:

So an update since I don't think I've been on for two weeks now...

Combination of factors, with being busy and being sick. Let's start off with the being sick part so we get the bad stuff out of the way.

I've had a cough since basically getting back from WDW. I went to someone in my primary care doctor's office twice, and they told me it was just asthma. I wasn't buying that it wasn't asthma, so I made the drive and went to my allergist office, and it turns out, I've been walking around with bronchitis for the past four weeks, which certainly explains the cough, fatigue, and sleeping 10-12 hours a day more than, "Oh, it's just your asthma." So now I'm on a 17 day antibiotic course (yes, 17 days, you read that right) and oral steroids. Fun. (Not)

The job that I was initially offered ended up not working out. There were concerns from them (namely, my age and lack of experience) and from me (they only have one small Maryland office that only opened five years ago; concerned about the job security). So I've been job hunting, while also walking around sick.

Last week, I got a random message from a recruiter on LinkedIn. He had found my profile and wanted to talk about a position that he was looking to place. I gave him my number so that we could talk about it. It turned out his agency was looking to place someone at a large corporation that is headquartered in this area, only about 15 minutes from where I live. This is how the timetable went: Monday I got the message through LinkedIn, Tuesday I spoke with the recruiter over the phone, Wednesday I was in their office for an interview, Thursday I went for the interview with the client, Friday they called me and said they wanted me in for a second interview on Monday, which was yesterday. Yesterday I went in for the second interview. I got the official offer this morning which I have tentatively accepted, and I start next week assuming there are no bumps in the road in between now and then. Shouldn't be; it's basically a background check that's left and some paperwork, which the agency is mostly handling for me. This position will be great, though. It's basically an entry-level position with them looking to groom you into a manager. I met the person who used to hold the position; she isn't that much older than me and was promoted to a managerial position. Lots of advancement opportunity, The company has also been around for a long time, so the job security is good, and a family friend has worked for them for 20+ years and attested to them being a good company. Oh, and they're moving the building I'll be in, so it will be more like a 10 minute drive before long. My commute to my old job was about an hour, so this is great, especially since no expressways are involved.

Speaking of agencies, working with one has been so great. They met with me and went over the entire interview with me before I went in, reformatted my resume, told me what to emphasize based on what the company was looking for, how many other candidates were interviewing, etc. They even walked me into the interview both times. I was really feeling like I had no clue what I was doing, so the help has been great.

Basically, though, don't expect to see me around as much as when I was in college. I was able to check in more in high school just because I would get bored with homework and need a break. Now that I'll be working, well, I'm guessing I won't have that luxury. I've also been working on some hobbies ad projects that I used to not have the time or energy to do in the evenings now.

I appreciate all the nice messages. But please, no one send out a search party.:hilarious:

Sorry to hear that you have been ill, hopefully what you are doing now will put you on the mend. It sounds like the new job will be better for you in the long run, especially if there is room for advancement. Good luck and I hope you still have time to visit occasionally!

The inhaler has helped when I close up and can't breathe. I get panicky. I just want all this congestion to go. And the coughing seems never to go away.
Yeah our weather here in NC hasn't been all bad. We hit 75 over the weekend. I think we needed more cold so people stayed in with their illnesses instead of spreading to others. Our flu cases have shot up in the last two weeks. Pretty weather gets them out whether they are sick or not unfortunately.

I hope you feel better soon.

I'm glad that they had a nice cruise. It makes me smile that you are so appreciative of you parents. It also shows that they did their job well!:)

Thanks, and how sweet of you! :)
Although it wasn't always Happycamperville ;) (when is it ever? :cyclops: I might even remember a few times when it was a bit Griswold-ish :hilarious:), they definitely did the best they could.
Sounds to me like the vast majority of our parents did, as all of y'all here turned out awesome, IMHO...!!! ;) :)
