Kapono loves the snow, too!

We haven't figured out yet if Jack likes snow, because he acts indifferent, and away off on his own planet (Pluto? :D). Sometimes we wonder if he's even aware that he's out in it. He gets so self-absorbed at times, that he can tune out the world around him--he snaps out of it, if food is within smelling distance . . . :cautious: :p

Yes she likes snow sometimes, I have mentioned she is a little quirky. ;) But she likes warm weather better because she loves going out in her yard to the hammock with me. Warm weather also means walks and time on the porch. ;) I know because she told me. ;)

Wow, 2 days for Thanksgiving is generous. A lot of people want to take off the Friday after Thanksgiving, but have to use their own vacation time to do so. Same is true for Christmas; we only get 1 day there.

Yep, they for sure treat us well when it comes to those 2 holidays. Although, when it comes to Thanksgiving, the Friday after would only be a half day anyway. ;)

There are so many things at Disney I would love to own. It is rare if I ever impulse buy anywhere let alone at Disney. Thankfully I'm not wired that way. Last trip I came home with a few new skulls and their cousins from Mexico and a classy rain jacket from Animal Kingdom. For years I've been collecting skullware from Mexico so it was a given, I use to collect stoneware dinner plates from Disney, a new design each year, my actual dining plates at home, it is fun. The rain jacket, I needed one and was my Splurge. Oh yeah and a few new antenna toppers.

Although I'm not really a fan of the skulls, I do enjoy the colorful critters in the Mexico pavilion, but, just quite haven't gotten around to purchasing any over the years.
I've mostly purchased pins, carved animals from Africa in AK, and a few t-shirts.
But, yes, I have seen literally thousands of items there I would love to own...! :greedy: :greedy: :greedy: ;) :)

Again long term vs short term thinking

Yep, they do a pretty good job of trying to keep a cohesive team together for the long haul.
Along with the other perks I've posted about before, they also provide us with decent healthcare, and a 401K/profit sharing.
But, as I've also posted before, it can be quite stressful a lot of the time, and some just can't handle it.
But, also, I ain't complainin', 'cause things could always be a lot worse, as I know from all those years i spent in retail during the last economic downturn...! ;) :)

Well, I get a 3 day weekend, snow day here today. We really don't have a ton of snow yet but it is still supposed to keep going all day. The winds are really gusty too, so I bet there will be some decent drifts eventually across the roads.

This snow day comes in kind of handy. With my cold (which is basically gone now) I seem to be losing my voice. This is a trend now for me with the last couple colds and Tuesday when I went back to work by the end of the day I was squeaking and that continued through yesterday. So with today off I can let my voice heal a little, since I only have hubby and Kapono to chat with here at home. Although hubby keeps laughing at me when I'm talking and my voice gives out.

Cool for the 3-day weekend, sympathy like for the snow...? o_O ;)
And, hope your voice is getting better by now...! :)

I didn't think you were really, but, it was just the vibe I got, from it... all's fine with me, I just wanted to be sure that I didn't accidentally offend anyone. Honestly, when I really want to attack, I'm pretty good at that and there is no real mistaking it usually. :)

Yep. If somebody was to really miff me off on here, I would do one of 2 things...
Either ignore them altogether (and I don't mean put them on "ignore" - just simply ignore them), or answer back ed off enough to where I didn't use any smilies, caps, or punctuation.
As most here have probably noticed, I mostly, but, not always ;), choose the former. :D ;) :)
