They don't do middle school ones in my district unless your child needs help in a subject. I just got the letter for all the courses in high school he's eligible for next year. He qualified for all freshman courses so no conference for that either:grumpy::grumpy::grumpy::grumpy::grumpy: I could have requested one but it would be a waste of time. High school next year NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: I'm not ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My older ds is also at the point I just get forms but I do keep in touch with his staff.

I kind of wish we had that policy in the middle school too. Usually it is the parents of kids that are doing just fine that show up to the conferences, so in the end the conference is pretty short and anti-climatic. Although one time I had a parent show up at the conference and they didn't want to talk about their kid at all (he was getting A's), she just wanted to pick my brain about Disney! :)

I'm sure it will be strange having your youngest in high school. My niece is going into 7th grade next year and I still think she should just be in 1st grade! Time goes too fast sometimes.

It was 57 at 3:30 this morning, with 90% humidity!! Aaacckkk! That's why I woke up--I was HOT! Where's my nice February weather?

It sounds like perfect February weather to me. It is 17 degrees right now, I think we will get up to 30 today. At least it is sunny here, it hopefully will melt some of the snow we got yesterday. I think I might brave the chill and take the dog for a walk today. She pouted a bit yesterday when she didn't get a walk. The only good part of the snow (besides having a snow day/day off work) was watching her play in the snow.

Here is a picture my husband took of her as she came in at one point yesterday.

I was just looking at the Kohls web site. Apparently, there is a new Beauty and the Beast movie coming out in mid-March. What does this have to do with Kohls, you say? Well, in keeping with how ridiculous so many things are in general these days, Kohls is already selling a "line" of B&B stuff--and the movie isn't even out yet??!!!

Yah, I know it's business and all, but I'm not a fan of putting the cart before the horse. :banghead:
The toys were announced a few months ago if I remember correctly.
Also there was an uproar on how ugly the Belle doll was.
Some even compared that deformed face to Benedict Cumbermatch.

Hope you brought a hard copy with you. I've seen a lot of presentations wrecked by various glitches in the computer/LCD, or jump drive equipment; and you'd be surprised how many executives never think to bring a hard copy with them, to a major presentation. (Whenever I'm staffing a meeting, I always bring a hard copy for my boss, just in case. ;) )
This!
I usually have a memory AND a DVD/CD for my teacher.
But seriously.. how bad lucky was he to have a memory break in the worst moment? Memory sticks are pretty resilient.. specially if they are original brand. Like those Kingston traveler.

Kapono loves the snow, too!

We haven't figured out yet if Jack likes snow, because he acts indifferent, and away off on his own planet (Pluto? :D). Sometimes we wonder if he's even aware that he's out in it. He gets so self-absorbed at times, that he can tune out the world around him--he snaps out of it, if food is within smelling distance . . . :cautious: :p

Most of my email is sewing, craft and cooking related. I may have signed up for a few too many newsletters:hilarious: Great fun in winter not much fun trying to play ketchup in summer:confused:

I'd imagine!
Great stuff to keep ya' busy inside when it's cold and snowy/icy outside, but, difficult to keep up with when ya' wanna' be outside doin' stuff during the warmer months. Sounds like ya' do a pretty good job of keepin' up, though...! :)

I actually wish I could sew, like my mom and pop. I'd sew myself some subtle Hidden Mickey shirts to wear to the office. Subtle enough to where nobody could tell unless I hipped them to it. Now THAT would be fun...!!!!! :joyfull: :D ;) :)

Good morning my dh s trying to convince me I need to watch Avatar. I'm not sure I want to knowing it may be a long while before I get back down:(

Sympathy like for not gettin' back down to WDW sooner.
I've never seen the movie all the way through, only bits and pieces here and there on cable, over the years. Never held my attention long enough.
The new land could be cool though, and, I'd like to finally see the movie all the way through before we visit the land in the next few (several) years...as in when WDW has all their current major projects finished. :cyclops: ;)

I just spent some glorious time hiding in my basement. A tornado warning was issued but thankfully nothing came of it. I grabbed my boys and my sewing machine and ran down.

I'm glad nothing came of it, but I do have this funny image of you and the boys running toward the basement with you clutching the sewing machine and the boys carrying bolts of fabric.:)
