I'm sure they capped the water pipes and put a landscaping liner in the fountain. They even put liners in containments that are designed to be planters so I'm not worried about the ability to return it to a fountain IF they want to bother. Now my concern is the meh why bother philosophy.

I really hope they bring back the fountain, there were some fun little details in it. I guess it is a wait and see kind of thing.

That's way up there in my pet peeve department! I can't believe the Muppets one is gone with all that's now missing from the park!

Yep, again, this one still boggles my mind.
It's bad enough that they've turned so many other beautiful fountains and water features into planters over the years, but, this one was so well-themed and kinetic. It WAS the Muppets.
Sheesh. At the very least, they could have Miss Piggy repipped so she could water the plants every now and then.

Good morning. I got to sleep in a few minutes because our school was smart enough to post today's delay last night. That's about the only good thing. It's 22 and still a bit icy. The schools that didn't post last night are now closed for today:cautious: Tonight's dinner groundhog au poivre with lots pinot gris:D

Half the like is sympathy for the weather ;), and the other half is for the Pinot...! :hungry: :)

Well, just so you know, the little hommus-stealing cretin is still alive, despite the garlic danger. As a matter of fact, I think he's even more energetic and underfoot, than before he ate the stuff, days ago!!

Ahhh. That garlic, onion, chocolate thing. Usually the only critters it harms is the tiny tots. The best of the best dog food has garlic in it. Vets use garlic to control blood sugar in dogs and blood pressure along with cholesterol. Takes a lot of very dark chocolate to harm most dogs. Jethro Bodine my boy golden ate 4 pounds of Dove milk chocolate easter eggs, foil and all that he stole from high up on my piano.

He was fine after he puked chocolate all over my husband during the middle of the night. :joyfull::cyclops:;) And I got new bedding. Win.

Well, it's been days now since he ate the hommus, and he seems just as active (and a pain in the behind) as usual; so I don't think the hommus poisoned him. But from now on, that's something we'll put out of reach, if we need to step out of the kitchen, even for just a minute.

And he'll find something else to abscond instead. I like it when he eats the bills that come in the mail ! HA! Yes, he even eats paper sometimes . . . :cautious: It's not that he's hungry--I think it's just the "hunt" that he likes . . . when he does bad things, he's proud of himself.

Hahaaa...!!!
Too funny...!!!!! :hilarious:

Oh dear! I did peek. Now my kids are grown however the new rates for almost 3 day hoppers is just about what I paid for 14 days length of stay passes. Now I know inflation and all but seriously on average nobody' salaries have gone up to compete with these type of increases. Ouch. Kinda funny that these increase come on the heels of park attendance was down....do they think this will help?

At this point, it seems like it's just a game to them. So much less right now for so much more money. Keep pushing, pushing, pushing the envelope. Ticket prices, resort prices, food prices, etc. With the state of things as they exist at WDW right now, I can't see how it could be anything else. The faithful fans are just a running joke to them, when it should be quite the opposite.

Walter really loved to shred those thin plastic bags from the grocery store/Target. Actually any kind of plastic but those bags were the easiest to snatch. His next favorite shredding detail was cardboard boxes.

Our First trip to WDW with my DS for 7 nights (no park ticket for him) was about $1200 which was a Walt Disney World Travel Corp package that included park tickets for 2 adults, airfare, car rental (offsite of airport) hotel room and breakfast each day TS or QS our choice and one day at River Country.

Next year was $1500 for 10 days, car, breakfast again, hotel, River Country or Typhoon park hopper passes 3 parks and airfare for the kiddo this time.

I really feel for parents trying to bring their young families to WDW now. I know some justify what you get for the $$$ but when the day is done what a week at WDW costs is a chunk of the net family income of the year these days.
