No Nickelodeon park?
also, what kind of meat is that? (in the english pub photo)

We did the fly over America at nickelodeon universe but I don't think it officially part of that park since it is a separate ticket. and we have done some of the rides with her before. So we went for something we hadn't done with her before. I did have some ticket points on a card from the last time but I couldn't find it otherwise we might have done a ride.

I agree a value is the perfect option for you. We're starting to talk about our next trip to Florida which will be sans kids:inlove::D:joyfull: I mean er um boo:( We even may fly down:eek::eek::eek: Seeing it may be mostly UNI we're thinking about staying at SOG:hilarious: Maybe I can squeeze in a Disney park day or 2:D

Yes. Fly. You'll be there in no time, and ask yourself why you never did it before...!!! ;)

It is a community modeled after the precedent-setting Seaside developement in Florida (which is also very similar to Celebration).

Oh, and by the way, here's another color scheme in the same community...! ;)

Pretty.

But Oy. I hope they have great General Contractors then some of those others may have had. I've been reading over time about some of the structural issues, if memory serves correct, believe it may be the condo's are having structural issues. Sad 'cause my pipedream has always been to retire to one of those. Be interesting to see how all that pans out. Mess.

And I could live in one of those of yours. No problem. Still the cookie cutter living is something I've yet to experience. I've never lived anywhere even remotely close to a subdivision or row homes. Not just building 100+ well maintained barns like we have here. Both where I grew up and then the places I've lived since I was an adult-every home is different. My condo before I was married was one lone building. Pretty nondescript but nothing around it was generic either. Funny, never thought of it but likely unique neighborhoods is what I've been unconsciously drawn to. But row after row of Disney Mansions at POR I love.

I'd love to live in Celebration someday. Actually there a few developments near Orlando I find lovely and some are meh but a palm tree can fix some of that:D

Ahhh. That love of palm trees we do share. Can't remember the last time a summer at my home didn't include 5 palm trees in my yard. Being nice, I will not share any Pic's of what those 5 palm trees currently look like in February.

Amen. I'm sure it's just me but I'd rather stay off site than in a value. To me they seem busy and over priced. Now if Disney starts adding a resort fee on top of everything I may continue my off site stays for a while longer.

I've only stayed in a value once. I was not a happy camper. I'd stay offsite first likely too especially if you have to endure resort fees and the going room rate and need the internet to utilize their MDE. I so wonder how all of this Disney stuff will play out. Guests don't seem to be scratching to receive Cabana's or pay to play extra hours with limited attractions, more expensive MK. Now resort and parking tack ons to already high end resort prices that are not 5 stars. Jeepers. Wonder when guests and Disney will say uncle and Top Out.

Actually, I've read some interesting reviews of the Values--in various trip reports, etc. I know that @ajrwdwgirl and others have enjoyed their stays, for the most part. I've never tried the Values, but was surprised that some of the reviews were quite positive.

Me. Not so much. I'm not even overly wild about the rooms at the Moderates either still they do have queen beds, but I do love their grounds and amenities. I look at the values much like a motel 6 and the moderates as a Hampton Inn. The Luxury Resorts on a whole do not match the Luxury I've stayed in elsewhere especially the service for the price. But I've done all the categories. I do it for the emersion not the value of the resorts. Still likely if this keeps up I will likely be your next door neighbor. I could stay longer and have more roomie digs and they keep chopping away at EMH so that is less and less a factor.

Yah, that sounds about right, I think . . . ;) I don't know exactly--I did meet the grocery store woman who was putting out containers of this in the vegetable section. I asked her if it was fresh (versus a commercial brand that had been made, with preservatives thrown in), and she said the in-house store kitchen had made a huge batch of this, just the day before. So it was very freshly made.

I already dug into it yesterday at lunch--YUM!!!!!!!!!! :hungry:

I am beginning to admire your meal prep.

I was in Egg Harbor and their sign read:

My DD said today at the aquatic center the place was filled early afternoon with parents and young children. Wearing them out in the water. Superbowl Sunday solution for parents without sitter syndrome.

I agree that the theming at the values could be a little more posh and less garish. I don't mind them for the amount of time I spend actually at the resort. If it was more than just me or me and hubby in the room I would spend more and stay at the mods or even off site. The price point to me is fine because we rarely have a car so I take the transportation factor into account too, but if resort fees are added I might have to re-evaluate. Staying at the values allow me to go more often, and right now that is what plays the biggest role in my resort choice.

Right there, you put your finger on what I've struggled to express-with just one word. And our family vacations have always been at moderates most of the time so we could stay much longer. Still we have stayed at most of the Luxury digs over the many years. I have a hard time justifying given we generally just plop our heads on a pillow but the Queen Beds at the Moderate make it a tangible plus in the moderate column. Still when we have stayed offsite those rooms were over time.
