Thank you for sharing all these photos, and I'm learning about development design from you. I never thought about the angle that many people don't want to deal with yard work, etc. That's a very valid point. I'm sure the community could appeal to a range of groups, but I'll bet that it's really popular with the retirement people, in particular.

Thank you! You're welcome! :)
Yep, retirees, and younger folks that can work from home. Quiet, and hardly no PITA yardwork. Yet, lots of festivals and activities if ya' like. Pretty much a paradise, IMO...! ;) :)

Amen. I'm sure it's just me but I'd rather stay off site than in a value. To me they seem busy and over priced. Now if Disney starts adding a resort fee on top of everything I may continue my off site stays for a while longer.
It depends on your situation. For you guys, you drive, so you have your car and can drive to the parks. For us, we fly, so if we stayed offsite, well, the costs would add up quickly just in transportation.

I stayed at Pop on my girls trip a few years ago. It was perfect for us. We were barely there except to sleep, bus service to the parks was really quick, we took advantage of Magical Express, and with my AP discount, it was under $100 each night. Not bad at all. And the five minute bus ride to Epcot was super convenient. Plus, she had never stayed on site before, so it was a novelty for her. I personally wouldn't ever consider staying offsite at WDW.

DL, well, you can stay offsite and still be across the street. But for WDW, I much prefer to stay on site.

We've stayed in values on 5 of our trips.
ASMusic in a family suite 3 times, Pop once, and a family suite in AoA once. Loved them all every time. We tend not to spend much time at the resort anyway, other than to crash and clean up, so, for now anyway, they're perfect for us. :)
We'll wait and see what the resort fee rumor brings...

I agree a value is the perfect option for you. We're starting to talk about our next trip to Florida which will be sans kids:inlove::D:joyfull: I mean er um boo:( We even may fly down:eek::eek::eek: Seeing it may be mostly UNI we're thinking about staying at SOG:hilarious: Maybe I can squeeze in a Disney park day or 2:D

seconding this. Its kinda harder when you fly x_x

On average, I paid around 800 USD per person in flight alone.
