In case anyone is interested, there are actually some pretty uplifting movies nominated for Best Picture this year. I just walked out of Lion, and while it wasn't as happy as Hidden Figures or La La Land, I found it to be pretty powerful.

I still want to see Moonlight and Arrival, which is a race to beat the clock where I'm from; have to catch the movies before they disappear from theaters.
I'm quite jealous. It seems every time over the past year or so we plan to go to the theater something comes up:(

Disclaimer first:Not a judgement on the necessity of more budget minded offerings more the butt ugly IMO.

Then go to the same principle and add a little charm and a different outcome.

It is all in the delivery.
Amen. I'm sure it's just me but I'd rather stay off site than in a value. To me they seem busy and over priced. Now if Disney starts adding a resort fee on top of everything I may continue my off site stays for a while longer.

Actually, I've read some interesting reviews of the Values--in various trip reports, etc. I know that @ajrwdwgirl and others have enjoyed their stays, for the most part. I've never tried the Values, but was surprised that some of the reviews were quite positive.

I'm not saying they aren't great for some people, I'm not just one of them. I loved SOG with subtle hints of Disney. Someday I'd love to stay at the Swalphin and Royal Pacific at UNI. Even though we're park lovers I like my hotel to be more laid back if that makes sense.

I'm actually doing better but they think it's scar tissue from prior surgeries causing me pain. :(

Glad to hear that your recovery is going okay, too bad about the scar tissue. Is there anything that can be done to help that?

Oh my. Sympathy like.
I hope there is a way that they can remove the scar tissue so your pain is relieved.
Prayers.

Sympathy like for your pain. Prayers and pixie dust for your continued recovery. xoxo

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with pain. In some instances, scar tissue can be effectively removed. I hope that's an option for you.

Oh, I completely understand where you're coming from. I like more laid-back hotels as well. I just wanted to share that the Values have received some very nice reviews. There are some quieter buildings in the back areas of some of the Values, from what I've read. These locations may have a longer trek to the bus stop, etc.

Do you mean, avacados, tomatoes, onions, jalepenos, garllic, lemons, limes, and such?

Yah, that sounds about right, I think . . . ;) I don't know exactly--I did meet the grocery store woman who was putting out containers of this in the vegetable section. I asked her if it was fresh (versus a commercial brand that had been made, with preservatives thrown in), and she said the in-house store kitchen had made a huge batch of this, just the day before. So it was very freshly made.

I already dug into it yesterday at lunch--YUM!!!!!!!!!! :hungry:
