Morning everybody, just like the last time I was in the hospital. I won,t be able to return home today. I started eating a bit more today but I had a sword case of the hiccups all night and morning. I puked a bit but it wasn't as bad. Thankfully I'm starting to eat non liquid foods such as one bite of chicken tenders.

Sorry to hear you could not go home today, but it sounds positive that you're starting to eat some solid food. Fingers crossed that you can go home tomorrow.

We had the strangest little winter storm here this afternoon and it started right about 3:15. It snowed, then there were tiny ice pellets, then hail & snow, a little rain, and then snow again until about 6pm. There was even some thunder & lightning. Crazy! And our weather lady said that the ground hog will see his shadow on the second, so more winter. :(

I loved both the Ice Capades and Ice Follies. Always been a big figure skating fan, so those shows were right up my alley!! Years later, my tastes turned more to the Tour of Champions skating shows--just great skating without all the stage sets, etc.

I love to skate. Watching others skate not so much. My attention span for watching any skating is about 5 minutes. :in pain:

The Globetrotters put on an outstanding show! :joyfull: (And I never watch basketball or any teams sports, and I really liked those guys--so talented and funny, too! Loved it!!)
The last time I watched the Globetrotters was years and years ago. Meadow Lark Lemon was the "star" at the time. What a great show. He actually drop kicked into a basket from the other end of the court. I saw it with my own eyes. I'm sure he wasn't able to do that every time, but, I sure was happy to be there when he did.

I'm going to miss this...I know it isn't politically correct but I will genuinely miss these times. In the way back time machine dogs and cats were not domesticated. Same goes for all sorts of creatures. Sometimes captivity doesn't bring abuse and torture but a bond with humans and animals. I grew up with Ringling in my life along with the much smaller but lovely Kelly Circus. My kids grew up with it all plus the bonus of Disney AK. Likely my someday grandchildren will never know of the mighty creatures kept in a circus, a zoo or an aquarium. They might only know the creatures in some form text copy of some variety.

Near my Mom's home when the circus came to town they'd off load and have a free parade. I enjoyed, my kids enjoyed. The mighty creatures did not act or appear tortured but had a role in life much like service creatures do.

Sadly my someday grandkids will not likely get to know the creatures I had such a fondness for.

So majestic.

We took the kiddos to the Barnum & Bailey circus several times, many years ago.
We always very much enjoyed it.
More great family memories...! :)

It was never one of my favorites but I have some mixed feeling about it going. Like I said I thought it was boring, I'd have rather have gone to see Disney on ice but I loved their commercials on tv. Because it meant spring was well on it's way:joyfull:

Hahaaa...!
We had a great time at Disney on Ice with the kiddos a few times, as well...!
(no frozen head jokes, etc., please... ;))

I've had a number of them and I have never been knocked out. I have always asked to watch it. I don't know why but, I am fascinated with my insides. I'm not all that impressed with the way my outside looks so, I guess I'm always looking for things that are more ideally constructed. Weird, yes I know, even that particular inside, but, I always want to watch. I did the same thing when I had my bladder checked for problems. I even ask if they will identify what parts I am seeing. I even have 10 full color photo's of the inside of my colon. I was going to post one of them, but, couldn't decide which one did the best job of capturing my essence.:joyfull:
