I've never seen the Dream House movie, I'll have to check it out sometime. I love old movies, that's when they made the good movies!

Ugh, isn't winter fun. (No, @MinnieM123, you don't get to vote on this...) Hubby just came home a little bit ago and said that it is really freezing rain. He said our sidewalk is pure ice and even the highway was a little iffy. Yuck!

I would love to go to Aulani. It wasn't open the last time we were in Oahu though. We did fly over it when we went from Kauai to the Big Island. Next time I go we will stay at least one night at Aulani, but that isn't on the horizon.

Nope, it would not have been open in 2007. We went in 2012; I believe it first opened in 2011. It's definitely worth it; it's Disney's best resort by far.

My allergies and Hawaii just don't mix. I'm also allergic to those flower leis. It took us 10 minutes after getting off the plane in 2012 to figure that out. Walked passed a lei cart, and my face turned bright red. I knew it was bad when my normally calm, somewhat oblivious father started asking what was wrong. As lovely as Hawaii is, I don't really have much desire to go back just because I do not want a 2013 repeat, even though I had a fine trip last time. I just encourage all others to go.

When in Vermont... we had an outside antenna with a rotator function that worked from the inside. We could move the Antenna 360 degrees. We had CBS which was a local station. NBC which was from across Lake Champlain in Plattsburgh, New York, ABC (I think) from Channel 8 in Poland Springs, Maine (if atmospheric conditions were just right) and a couple of channels from Montreal. One was in English and one in French. Channel 2 (French)... showed dirty movies late at night.

Never heard of that back then, but likely I wasn't allowed to stay up that late.

I've seen Casablanca more times than I've seen Singin' in the Rain, but they're both great flicks!
Another one of my favorites was on TCM this afternoon...Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House. Cary Grant and Myrna Loy...quite a bit of fun in that one...!

Walt was consider a giant Lab. He weighed more than my DD and me too. If he stood on his hind legs he was taller than me. So when he sat in your lap he knew you were not leaving.

So we had 3 days of parties/reunions/church stuff..etc..etc..
A blast so far!

Good morning, I'm going to have a fun day and get out while I can because we may get another system with ice move in tonight. I convinced a friend to take a ride out to an outlet mall and then hit a few craft stores. We're not going shopping we're escaping being stuck inside for way too many days this winter. My dh is taking my older ds with him to pick our little guy and have dinner at grandma's so I won't even have to cook tonight. I'm really going to try and enjoy today because tomorrow

Right there with ya Sister-Friend. We had our plans go awry today because of the stupid ice and fog. It is difficult to get many days with the DD her work schedule is crazy.

Actually the hard rain just woke me up again. So a small window of mini Ketchup time.

Yes, Marriages that reach 50 years are also a big thing.
70-75 years also are a "landmark" for birthdays.

sorta like 15,50, 70-75,100 are special.
